Google Nexus 6P Must have apps

Re: Must have apps

Light Flow is a good start... it will let you change the notification light to be specific to what you like... Blue for Gmail, Green for SMS, etc, etc.

I tried Light Flow and it didn't do anything. I have a brand new Nexus 6P and setting it up while I await a SIM card so I can activate it. I installed and after setting up the colors for notifications I clicked "Test" and nothing happened... no LED anything. Any ideas?

I think you need a custom kernel to open up the led for light flow to work

There are so many similarly named apps in the Google Play Store - this Light Flow https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...geconsulting.android.lightflow&token=dLKu2iLy is what I'm using on my 6P (currently running the N beta 4 build) and the LED is working correctly. I did have to make a couple of setting changes to get SMS working properly, but WhatsApp, Gmail and Missed Calls all worked right off the bat.

BTW, the Tools -> All enabled LEDs Test feature worked as expected. And I don't have a custom kernel or any other modifications.

Re: Must have apps

what? Nobody has mentioned Evernote yet?

This has become critical to my life and now cannot live without it. It all started on my phone, but I access the Web based interface from work too.

Thanks GSDer... I'll keep at it. Must be in the settings that I'm not seeing. I appreciate the response.
