Google Nexus 6P Must have apps

I also screenshot a lot so it's annoying pressing the power+ volume many times a day.

Ya me to this is not fun. Itried literally 24 attempts in a row and just gave up. Coming off of the note5 this feels a bit ridiculous, but I am still a fan of this phone (Nexus 6P) over all so far.

If you root your phone and use Xposed Framework you can set up a tile in quick settings for Screenshots. I missed that. haha

Clipper.

If you want to easily copy & paste since there's no clip tray like found in LG/Samsung. Clipper+ if you don't want ads & sync.

Clipper.
I just tried Clipper. That is not going to work for me. I use cliptray functions when researching and shopping, but I also use it constantly at work and I think clipper is going to slow me down and frustrate me.
ai.type.Keyboard free works far better fory priorities, right now. Has anyone else tried ai.type... I think it works pretty good. Is there some reason why no one has recommended it that I should know about?

I have Nova Prime and TeslaUnread right now. Are there like a bunch of Nova add ons out there that can anable more abilities?

"All in one Gestures" is a must have for N6P if you want to get to use all of it's 5.7" screen. (and also to prevent burn in) It will disable nav bar and replace it with gestures. Also this is the only app where keyboard works properly in full screen mode without root.

That is great! I had to get the screen shot app so I can tale my sreen shots. Now I dont have to turn it on, then pull down from top of screen, then push the button. I just hold the volume up key for a screen shot now. Thats it! Im actually only using one other gesture, but this is still great.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Nova Prime
Tesla Unread

- Android Central, Check!

- Tesla Unread, Check!

- SwiftKey, Check..ed it out. Great recommendation!, but ai.type.Keyboard is going to work better because I need clip tray function.

- Pushbullet looks awsome, jist dont think I going to get enough use out of it.

Thanks for opening my eyes to all the great apps!

Re: Must have apps

Tasker - Automate your phone in infinite ways (e.g., I have mine automatically turn on Wi-Fi at work or home, turn on bluetooth when I exit work or home, automatically launch certain apps when I enter my car, lower my ringer volume when at work, etc.)

Who makes this app? There are several with the same name.

I just got the nexus 6p, and had no idea what a leaning curve I was in for. Can you help please?

I'm looking for:

- Key board with numbers on top row, and a crisp feel (I liked the note 5 keyboard)
As another person coming to the 6P from a galaxy Note (2 & 4) I can say that this is HUGE, I've tried swiftkey and several others, none of them are as good as the Samsung keyboard. It is not just the numbers (which was my initial complaint) I can get those back by using google keyboard in PC mode or with the other aftermarket keyboards. The Sammy keyboard gave an @ symbol when typing email addresses and a ".com" button for URLs. Plus it knew what you were typing for an auto-fill quality that none of these others can match. Examples would be in a game like clash-of-clans when you wanted to type "CONFIRM" to switch accounts, on the Sammy I'd hit capital C and there was the option for the full uppercase word. Google and swiftkey do not do this at all.

Solid Explorer. Its on sale for .99 cents and i the best. dont have to worry about ugly and bloated ES explorer

Silence Premium... As a teacher, this automated phone silencer is amazing. It can even track your calendar for key words and silence your phone.

QuickPic... I think the hoopla surrounding this app is way overblown. They haven't added ads and it only asks for storage permission. It's an excellent gallery app.

It hasn't been mentioned but Fleksy is a great alternative to SwiftKey, I used the Latter for some time but switched. Fleksy is a gesture based keyboard and is really pretty slick, both are great though, just providing another option.

I was the first to reply to this thread... Post #2. Originally I said Light Flow... I take that back... it was good, but was not THE app I will now recommend.

1. Light Manager - it does a much better job with the notification LED. Much better than Light Flow, more options than Light Flow, plus no app in the notification tray.
2. Action Launcher - I have used Nova for a long time and still recommend it, but I changed to Action Launcher a few weeks ago. I really like their folders, plus ability to change a folder into a Cover... touching the Cover will launch the main app, but if you swipe up you open the folder... for example I grouped a few Auto related apps into a folder, then changed this folder into a Cover and if I touch the Cover it launches my main/first app, but if I swipe up it opens the folder so I can access all the apps. Other apps have a different action if I swipe up, like Gmail I can view a specific Gmail account inbox, which is nice since I have 3 Gmail accounts. These are just a couple things that make this launcher my current favorite.

I have Lookout (Antivirus & Protector) - aWallet Cloud as password manager - CM Browser - FidMe (to collect all my shopping cards) - PhoneProfiles - Phonograph (for playing music) - QuickPic (photo gallery) - Textra (for texting)

And i have Ginto since I am an Gin-Tonic drinker :-)

I use the Nexus 6p with stock Android. It's a company's phone, so i am not allowed to root it :-(
