I have a newer Plantronics BT headset and when I try to use Google Now, it doesn't seem to recognize any audio (nothing happens when I'm talking).

I can turn bluetooth off and it works fine, but that defeats the whole purpose of trying to find a business/location, and then immediately calling them.

Are there some settings I'm missing?

Thanks all...

It's a bug that I think is fixed in 4.2. The work around I know of that works if you aren't streaming music on the Bluetooth is to turn off "media audio" in the Bluetooth settings. This fix worked for me, and google now has stayed working.

I just used Google Now on my GS3 with a Samsung HM3300 blue tooth piece with no problem at all. Maybe your Plantronics doesn't have all the support for it?
By the way, I'm on 4.1.1

I have problems with Google maps voice search and also in the texting app while connected to my Bluetooth car kit. Same problem with my GNex. Might be a glitch with Jelly Bean. Didn't work on GS3 either. Works fine with Bose Bluetooth headset though.

I'm glad it worked for you jodyberry. Yeah, as far as I know, it's a bug in jellybean, but it's supposed to be fixed in 4.2. Even 4.1.2 is still not working.
