Google Now issue

I picked up the RAZR Maxx HD yesterday and upon getting it home/connected to WiFi, it updated to JB. The Google Now thing worked pretty well, but now today it doesn't work. Here's what I am seeing:

First the words: " or say Google" no longer show up in the search bar as shown in the first picture.

Second; when I hit the microphone button it VERY briefly flashes the Google Now "card" and then immediately displays the second picture, without giving me an opportunity to say anything.

Considering that I have been learning (read: messing with) the phone it's very possible I changed something without knowing it and as such I am open to even the most obvious "Did you try...." scenarios.

Make sure your language in the settings menu is set to English USA

Checked that and it is set to English USA.

Soooo, after much searching on the Web with nearly no help,I founds couple processes in the running apps that something about audio in their names (don't remember which ones they were). I forced closed both of them, restarted the phone and now it seems to work.

Even though it's fixed, I will continue to add relevant information for others with this problem.

Was having the same issue (missing "say google"). Found out the problem was the app "SpeakMe". Disable it now all is well

I see that your banner is of a city landscape. I hear that the banner picture is based on where you live. Did you have to set up anything special for that? I live in Boston and I see a large grassy field for my banner....

I don't think the banner picture is very reliable. I live in Oklahoma and see snowcapped mountains on mine.

I'm in central new York, and I see mountains. I'm about an hour away from mountains in the adirondacks, but my location is in a small city.

This isn't random Lol. This is sears tower and navy pier and the L train I'm in Chicago
