Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

my xl ordered on the 5th said shipping 24th, no shipment either

Anyone have a XL 2 order from the google store that was supposed to have shipped on the 24 that actually shipped?

Maybe they have started doing an extra QC check on all XL 2s before they go out the door causing delays.
 
My Black XL was suppose to ship yesterday. The website shows it did not ship but customer service claims ill still get it tommorrow per the delivery date. No idea how since it hasnt be handed iff to UPS yet.

Mine shipped on time on Monday, but is missing its delivery date since they shipped it ground.

My 2 XL with a 10/5 order date shipped as scheduled on the 24th.

Pixel 2 xl black ordered the 5th from Googled missed the shipping date of yesterday. No word from Google yet.

Should have shipped yesterday, just checked my order page. "Ships Oct 24" still grayed out. Now what do I do? On 10/23 they did a charge against my card, just checked my CC transaction and charge says pending.

The credit card charge is a very good indicator that it will ship very soon. When I saw that pending charge, I was pretty sure mine was in the process of shipping. Within a few hours, I received a shipping confirmation.
 
After being told my order shipped on 10/22 (Sunday) and will be delivered today I received an email giving me a FedEx tracking number which says that it hasn't even been picked up yet and it now has a delivery date of 10/26 or 10/27.

This is my first phone purchase from Google. Does this happen every time there is a new device released?

That outsource their shipping to a company called Digital River, though you will probably see it coming from Micro Ingram. Either way, they are a notoriously bad shipping company.
 
Called 90 minutes ago... Rep said the phone shipped yesterday and it'll be there on the 26th or 27th... Asked him to send a confirmation email with tracking information. Said no problem and he'll send it right over.

Still no email.

Why do I get the feeling the rep just read the same order page I gave and guessed, rather than actually researching the issue?
