Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

I received a shipping confirmation which confused me because my Stormtrooper isn't supposed to ship until November 13th.

Opened the email and I had totally forgot I had ordered the Midnight case, doh!
 
Just got my pixel 2 XL delivered. 1 day early from original delivery estimate. Will play with screen when I get home. Assuming I don't suddenly get sick at work to come home sooner...

Same with mine (XL 128Gb). It was supposed to ship on the 24th (purchased on the 7th). When I look up the order it still says Oct 24th, however about 2 hours ago I finally got charged for my purchase so maybe it is on the way. I have read of other people (Reddit) that didn't get the shipping notice but they have received the phone regardless.

Ordered on oct4. Should be ship on oct 23, Still get nothing from them, contact them yesterday, and said will give me email within 24 hours, nothing.... contact them later

Ordered XL Black 64g Tuesday 10/17 around 10pm, received shipping notification on Thursday night 10/19 around midnight, phone arrived yesterday, Monday 10/23 around noon via fedex. Not having any issues that had me worried reading this forum. Yes it has a blue tint when looking from the side, but that is a non issue. Super pleased so far.

Hahahaha. Ordered 2XL Black 64GB 10/6, ship date 10/24, no movement.
 
FINALLY... my credit card was charged (ordered Oct 4th, 128GB XL2 All Black). Was supposed to ship out yesterday so should be today some time.

Due to the incredibly high demand for the new devices, we are currently experiencing shipping delays. It looks like your order may be affected by this. As soon as your device ships, you will receive a shipment confirmation email with details on delivery dates.
That what they talk me today, I think they find witch devices have the burn-in problem?
 
Called 90 minutes ago... Rep said the phone shipped yesterday and it'll be there on the 26th or 27th... Asked him to send a confirmation email with tracking information. Said no problem and he'll send it right over.

Still no email.

Why do I get the feeling the rep just read the same order page I gave and guessed, rather than actually researching the issue?

He then said they have until 5 PM to ship it. I asked what day is it there in the Philippines? He said it was the 24th - I said well it's the 25th in the U.S..

He said, hmmm, let me check. Came back 10 minutes later and said he is still trying to reach level 2 and will call be back with an answer.

No call, no update to order detail page, no phone, CC charged last Monday.

Who knows, maybe it is on a fed-ex truck and they forgot to update the system. I guess I'll call again tomorrow. I have a support case number.
 
Lots of black phones being shipped out and delivered, doesn't seem like many penguins are being shipped.

Yeah mine went 2 days past the shipped date and it didn't ship, no charge, etc. Even Google Support couldn't tell me why. I canceled my Panda and ordered a Black 128 GB Pixel 2 XL through my Verizon account. I got it the next day (this morning) and have it setup now.

Sucks I had to do it that way but I was tired of playing the waiting / when will I get it game especially since my "ship" time had passed.

It's not possible for the Philippines to be the 24th and 25th in the US. Philippines is well ahead of the US TimeZones!
 
Placed a new order for a 2 XL 128GB last night, it just shipped via FedEx 2 Day, I didn't pay for expedited. I really hope it shows up tomorrow, but stupid FedEx are like Nazi's about delivering 2 Day packages early. Had it shipped FedEx Ground, I would probably have it tomorrow.
 
Panda 2XL was supposed to ship 10/23, contacted support yesterday who provided lots of smoke up my *** and said it was in the "advanced stages", would be here as promised "on my doorsteps" and that a tracking email should be going out that day. Well, here I am, another day later and absolutely nothing has changed. I will contact support again in a few hours, but I'm guessing they will just attempt to placate me again...This is ridiculously bad business.

I'm on chat with them again. This time for a few minutes shy of one hour so far. They did just try and shake me off and email me later, but I said no thanks-I'll wait. This is undoubtedly not going anywhere, but I'm a bit preturbed.

Yep. That is why I just canceled and went through Verizon. I will fight them to get the $30 "upgrade fee" taken off my bill (usually a nice rep will do it) versus guessing when I would get the phone.
