Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

Ordered black P2 XL on 10/12, to ship on 25th and arrive by the 27th.

Yesterday AM (25th) CC had a hold $ for Ph,
1:00 PM CC charged.
3:50 Email from Google saying Ph has shipped.
6:30 PM it left the FedEx Carol Stream facility for Schaumburg, IL.
Whooo Hoo! Scheduled for delivery by 8:00 PM Friday! I hope they make it because I noticed the tracking said no weekend delivery, but since I am near Edwardsville, IL (central IL) I am hoping that maybe it will be delivered early. :)

Canceled my order of the Storm Trooper tonight. Going with the Essential Phone for at least the next three months, with my Nexus 6P as a secondary device. If the screen issues discovered and exposed on the Pixel 2 XL begin to simmer down, and the Essential Phone is really getting on my nerves, I will revisit the Google Store online, and click the ORDER button for a Pixel 2 XL (most likely black by then).
 
Ordered my "Just Black" 64GB Pixel 2 XL on 10/9 and it was supposed to ship 10/25 (yesterday). Hasn't shipped yet. Contacted Google and wasn't told much beyond "we're having shipping delays. I'm really anxious to get this device, I'm gonna be patient and wait it out a bit longer. Fingers crossed it won't be too much longer.

Lucky I get my case on Monday my phone today because why would google ship together lol

Because it's called anticipation hey here is your case now just imagine your phone in there lol I have had my case for two weeks now my phone is finally going to be delivered today yay
 
So now I'm stuck on "label created" since yesterday. Not sure if this one is on FedEx or Google's shipping team. Either way, I dont think Ill be getting it by Friday and it will just sit in the FedEx warehouse over the weekend until Monday... that is IF it ever gets off the "label created" status...

Whatevs...
 
Same thing with me. I ordered the same configuration a day later. I have the same ship date and mine also hasn't shipped yet. As this is my first google device, I've never been more anxious for a delivery.
 
I'm either going to wait out the Panda or cancel it and do something else and wait for the Pixel 3 and start this whole mess again
 
Order XL2 black 64GB on Oct. 5th, expected ship date was the 24th with arrival 26th or 27th. Finally shipped today the 26 with expected arrival on the 30th. The phone was shipped 2 day service, but they put a special note to only deliver on weekdays. So instead of it being delivered on Saturday which is 2 days they are holding it until Monday. I really wanted to get the phone this week so I could test the camera at a concert this weekend but I guess that won't happen now. This whole shipping delays are frustrating, especially since their was no communication from Google about it to me.
 
They're beginning to **** me off now.

Was lied to by two reps yesterday, who assured me that it shipped and I'll get it on time.

Today's rep at least told me that yes, there are delays, and passed me on to shipping. Shipping was nice enough but said they'd need "time to research exactly where it was" and would email me today with what they find... which is ridiculous.

He also did not guarantee me that it would arrive on time now.

I asked if, once it's located, if they could overnight it considering that it's late and I was lied to, and he said that he couldn't do that.

Wrote them a pretty scathing email already this morning and will hound them endlessly today if I don't get an email soon with information
 
I hate FedEx. I am literally 10 miles from Carol Stream, and 2 minutes from the local FedEx hub, and because they shipped 2 Day it isn't being put on the truck for delivery today, instead tomorrow. If they would have shipped Ground, it would have been on the truck for delivery today. I called and requested to pick it up, but somehow I doubt that will work.

You can do what you what - BUT - do you really want to annoy someone who is in a position to mess with you more than you are already being messed with?

Understand the frustration, and have done likewise....just sayin'

Call Google support, asked if they could take off the request to deliver only on weekdays so it could be delivered on Saturday. Was told no, they can only can only deliver devices on weekdays. I then asked if they could change the shipping to overnight so they would meet the expectations they set forth. Was put on hold for 10 minutes while they were contacting the shipping department. They came back on the line to read me a script that my order is very important to them and they are working hard to get me my order and that they are having delays in shipping. I asked again if they could change the shipping to overnight and was read the same script again. So I asked the question for a third time and then i was told my phone was already shipped and they cannot change it. I expressed my frustration with them and how i received no notification that my shipment would be delayed, offered no compensation or anything. And I was read the script then for a third time.

This whole google shipping is a joke, thanks to everyone on here for an ear to vent to.
