Panda was supposed to ship the 23rd. Nothing yet. Black XL was supposed to ship yesterday. CS has been all over the map. I've been told both are "in process". One guy told me that meant they had been transferred to the warehouse and should turn up as shipped imminently. Checked again, was told again "in process". I was transferred to the shipping dept, who confirmed "in process", but this time told me that meant nothing insofar as shipment.
The best thing is how 5 different reps said "we are very excited for you to get your device and doing everything we can to ship as soon as possible". Almost verbatim. A few other less entertaining phrases were also included about how popular the device is and shipping is backed up due to the high number of orders. Like really? They aren't staffed for the number of orders they themselves had committed to filling by any given date?t
So yes, CS has a script.
They should simply state that their supply chain isn't keeping up with the promised volume. Obviously, they offered shipping dates upon order based on your place in the order queue against the number of units expected by that date.
I mean, really, they can't ship faster than their supplier delivers units. That part of it is out of their hands.
