I ordered mine 10 mins into live on the 4th. Got a scheduled shipping date of the 24th. I kept wasting time trying to get the panda xl, ended up with all black.....

Well I'm a little irritated! So my phone shipped out yesterday but they shipped it ground rather than overnight like I paid for. Instead of having the phone today I won't get it until the 23rd! I'm on the phone with Google now but this guy barely speaks English and keeps putting me on hold!

Not almost...it IS ridiculous... completely.

Google: "We have better devices this year, we gave customers a horrible experience last year when pre-ordering and ordering our Pixel devices. We should look into this PROBLEM, and definitely make more Pixel 2 series devices."

Also Google: "Eh. Screw it. Let's not do anything more than we did last year in our inventory amounts, nor our pre-order (and order) procedures...but we'll say we did."

If you had paid for expedited overnight rather than taking the free shipping option, that really sucks. You should certainly see that fee refunded, but unfortunately won't likely see any further compensation.

On the glass-half-full side, you'll have something exciting to look forward to on what would otherwise be the normally dreaded Monday!
