Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

I ordered the exact same phone on the same date and had a ship date of Oct 30 and arrival of Nov 1-2, and I got a shipping notificaiton today as well, though it's still in "Label Created" status. Delivery is now supposed to be Oct 30-31.

Thanks, FedEx says 10/27 by end of day :) I originally ordered clearly white but it had a ship date of mid Nov, so I switched to black. I also heard the back of the black has a slightly different texture, (More grippy) so I'm glad I made the switch. I also included next day shipping or whatever its called. Which is why it shipped on the 26th and its arriving on the 27th.
 
Just chatted with Google CS about my order which was suppose to ship out yesterday. They said they are experiencing some shipping delays but said my order was still on track to be to me by my stated order window which ends on Monday 10/30. I can wait so no big deal and we will just wait and see if they are telling me the truth.

I'm not that concerned with it to be honest. I can survive waiting and I really don't want to sit on chat dealing with them when I can kinda see what the status is by reading this thread every once and a while. I'm sure I'll get it eventually and if it is a couple of days late I'm not going to lose my mind over it.
 
Has anyone that ordered a panda through verizon seen a shipped notification yet? I am getting mine through work, expected 11/1, and cannot see any notifications pertaining to it. Im not sure any pandas have been spotted in the wild have they?

Nope! Not yet. I ordered on 10/4 and also have an 11/1 expected ship date.

Charge pending since early Monday morning.

4 phone calls, three live chats and two emails with Google CS,

STILL do not have a tracking code.

This is infuriating.
 
Just now got a CC notification of a large purchase going through. It's for my Black XL that should have shipped yesterday based on the card. My Panda which should have shipped Monday is on another card hasn't made any movement.

So they are pretty close to on-time with the black ones. Pandas continue to be a problem.

I think Monday was the first day of Panda shipping 'cause on-one talked about them last week. Obviously a supply chain issue with the first batch of deliveries........
 
Canceled my order of the Storm Trooper tonight. Going with the Essential Phone for at least the next three months, with my Nexus 6P as a secondary device. If the screen issues discovered and exposed on the Pixel 2 XL begin to simmer down, and the Essential Phone is really getting on my nerves, I will revisit the Google Store online, and click the ORDER button for a Pixel 2 XL (most likely black by then).

Ordered on October 6. And mine was set to ship on the 24th and still nothing, the only change is I can't modify any longer.

Coming from my much loved Nexus 6 the Pixel is obviously built using advanced witchcraft!
I'm a photographer, so for me the screen colors are spot-on. I don't like oversaturation.
I was prepared to have a problem with the blue cast looking at an angle.
I don't use my phone looking at an angle, so it isn't an issue for me.
So far I'm loving my Pixel 2 XL!

Ugh. Tracking still shows my phone sitting back in Bloomington. =/ It should be here tomorrow... hopefully it's just a tracking hiccup...
 
Ordered 64gb black Oct 9th,. Was supposed to ship Oct 25th, delivery 27-30. After checking dozens of times each day, finally this evening there has been movement, account charged, cancel/change shipping address GONE on order page. Hopefully will get some tracking info tomorrow and it will be on its way. I talked to customer service several times via chat. Today the agent admitting to shipping delays of a couple days. He also mentioned they were looking into overnight shipping options to try and make the correct delivery dates.

On a side note, Google is giving us an extra year of warranty coverage on hardware failure! 2 years total now. That's awesome and a good move on their part. They are admitting to the issues with screen and will be pushing out some updates in a few weeks to help with colors.

Now I can send my v30 back to Verizon. I like the v30, but can't wait for that Pixel camera!I don't mind the screen on the v30 either.

Do you mean that the standard warranty is for 2 years? –I bought the Preferred Care warranty because I thought that gave me 2 years. Do you know the difference?
 
Yes standard warranty is now 2 years on manufacturer defects. Preferred care warranty will cover accidental screen breaks, lost or stolen etc.
