Google Pixel 6/Pro - just over the horizon?

I got that part. Just seems like a pia to have to take it out of the pocket to then take it out of a sleeve to use it. I don't even like to deal with the inconvenience of phone in pocket preferring holsters. To each their own.
I hear ya everyone has different usage.. I carry this one only when I don't have good pockets and helps with carry two phones... It can clip also for one hand usage... Most other times I carry one in pocket and one in hand...

Oh I got it now. Not a case but a carry pouch and you take the phone out all the time. That makes more sense now lol

Exactly. I understand that it may not work for some people, but it works fine for me. You might say that, after using this type of leather sleeve case for many years, I've developed a "quick draw."

Quick Draw McGraw with the phone... I like it!

I don't begrudge anyone for their choice of case. Whatever works for you. I can see the benefits of a pouch so you can have the naked phone in all its glory when you wanna use it.

Got my Spigen Ultra Hybrid Designed for Google Pixel 6 Pro clear case over the weekend.

My S21 Ultra can fit almost perfectly in the case except for the camera bump. So sise wise I am more than good going with the Pro instead of the regular.

I'm not buying a Pixel, but if I were, I'd go with the 6. It's a huge price difference for very little change. How close the screen sizes are is the main factor. Obviously this is my subjective opinion and you can disagree with me. I feel like 6-6.5" is the sweet spot in screen size. 1080p vs 1440p is not that big of an upgrade. Neither is 90hz vs 120hz. If the 6 only had 60hz, then there's no way I'd buy it. For me, I'd rather get the 6 and spend a little extra to get the added storage of 256. 128 is a bit small, especially if you plan on keeping your phone for 2+ years. Apps and data size aren't getting any smaller.

Both will be excellent choices... I'd prefer the Pro which includes the 3rd camera for zoom.. But you will be happy with both..

I find myself using the wide angle much more often than the zoom, even on my S21 Ultra. I guess it is nice to have on those rare occasions.

I use both wide angle and zoom on my s10+. I like the flexibility of having both. I take more close ups of my cats than wide shots.

Yeah I'm with ya.. If I had to pick one give me wide angle...
Yeah. I take more indoor photos than outdoors. I don't think phone cameras will ever replace a dslr for zoom quality. No matter how much a manufacturer tries to sell us on the tech. It has gotten way better in the past few years, but I find zooming in on a phone camera to be just a gimmick and something to just play around with. The pictures end up being ok and not really usable. I'm usually a proponent of having a feature but rarely using it than not having it and wanting or needing to use it. But in this case, I don't think it's worth the added cost. The older I get, the more I get to know what features I do and don't use.

I get what you're saying but to say zoom lenses are gimmicks isn't really being fair especially with the rise of periscope lenses today. They really do give you actual physical zoom without all the digital trickery and even the digital zoom has benefited from these new types. The digital 20x and 30x zoom on say a S21 Ultra is pretty impressive and the optical 10x zoom gives you actual depth of field bokeh when focusing on closer subjects that really does separate the subject naturally from the background which gives you more framing options and better ways to do portrait shots with the portrait mode. It's great that the Pro has both the zoom and ultrawide so you don't have to choose.
