Google Pixel 6/Pro - just over the horizon?

Wow, I just got my clear case for the 6 Pro and it's going to be a whale compared to my 5. I wish I still had my 4xl to compare it to. Bring it on!

Someone on here posted up a picture of a pixel 3XL case next to a pixel 6 Pro case, and there wasn't that much of a difference in size... I was surprised. I pocket carry a 3XL and doubt I would have any issue with the slight size difference. If I remember right, I think the 4XL is the same size as the 3XL? The bezeless design on the Pro makes a big difference in the screen to body ratio.

Because I prefer to use the UltraSlim Leather Wallet cases marketed by Sena, and that company doesn't offer cases specifically designed for Google Pixel phones, I always need to find an Apple iPhone or Samsung phone that is nearly identical in size. Based on the Phonearena size comparison website, it appears that the Pixel 6 Pro (which I plan to purchase) is virtually identical in size to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra -- only .05 inches difference in height, but exactly the same width and thickness:

FWIW, here's a link to the Sena case for the iPhone12/iPhone 12 Pro, which proved to be a perfect fit for my Pixel 5:

Exactly same width and thickness but the camera on the back is totally different position. A case for the S21 wouldn't work on the pixel at all.

So is the assumption that we will be able to order the pixels online on the 19th? I'm with Verizon and usually order through them, as I did for my pixel 3xl. Anyone know if I'll be able to order on Verizon's site that day?

Im on Tmobile and was wondering the same thing

I'm thinking that week you should see something. I bet the first day will only be the Google store and then by week end carriers.

Thanks for that reminder, but I'll take my chances. I've ordered the case for the S20 Ultra, which provides a little extra space. Based on my experience using these Sena thin leather sleeve cases with other phones, including the Pixel 2XL and the Pixel 5, I've found that they can stretch and allow for a bit of "wiggle room" -- which is fine, since I keep the phone in one of my front pockets. (And if it doesn't work, at least I only paid half-price for the case!)

Hmm US? Besides the 4 top carriers? Definitely BestBuy.. likely B&H photo.. Amazon.. Target...

B&H already have the pixel 6 and Pro placeholders up... so they'll definitely be getting them in around launch.

Nice comparison... thanks ;) The Flip and 6 Pro are both 6.7 inches in screen size, and they look identical in your pics. The Fold looks kinda puny in comparison (as the Hulk would say lol). But it's nice to know the Fold is smaller in width, and probably a little easier to pocket in that aspect.

YW …now we only need that feel in hand weight of the Pixel to compare ha ..also why I like that the Fold is narrow makes it easier even with the weight ..thanks for the B&H info …

I'm not understanding what you mean by "take my chances". While the case may fit fine, the camera cutout is totally different. You would be blocking the Pixel 6 Pro camera system with an S20 Ultra case on it no?

I agree. That sentence left me scratching my head. But hey ...it's his moolah.

I believe it's a leather sleeve to fit phone...
I got that part. Just seems like a pia to have to take it out of the pocket to then take it out of a sleeve to use it. I don't even like to deal with the inconvenience of phone in pocket preferring holsters. To each their own.
