Google Pixel XL - Preorder /order/shipping thread

Just checked My Orders with VZW my pre-order# just became an order# still no charges to CC
-QB XL 128G & VS XL 128G
Anyone happen to notice the lag between receiving an order# and getting a Ship Date
 
I just don't get how 5 months after launch you still can't buy the XL. The play store still shows out of stock on the 128 gb model in all colors. It's great that the phone is so popular, but Google come on. Ramp up production already. Your not One plus.
 
I'm going to cancel my order with Verizon. Buy one on swappa and use it on T-MOBILE. Not going to reward Verizon after being lied to about shipping the other day. Rep said my 12/9 order with estimated ship date of 1/13 was shipping.....Only to get the backorder email a few minutes later with March shipping.
I am not going to wait 4 months for a phone. The Galaxy S8 will shipping late March early April for mid April delivery anyway.
 
I hope I get mine close to the est. ship date, like you did. I ordered mine through a Verizon corporate store in central Ohio on 12/16 with an est. ship date of 1/20. So far, no updates have been made on the verizon site, so I'm holding out hope I'll get the device around then, even if I do get the dreaded "You've got great taste!" verizon delay email... Thanks for sharing your story and experience.
Similar thing here but worse . I ordered on phone with Verizon a Black XL 128GB and Silver XL 128GB and estimated delivery date is 1/20. When I call Verizon *611 or their 1800# of days they show I am waiting for 1 order. I called Verizon back and they show 1 order until I make them look into the order them they say oh yea 2 phones.
I have no idea what or when I am going to get them.
My OG Droid Turbo 64GB and wife's LG G3 are hanging in by a thread of life.
So here I sit and wait for the dreaded back order email..
 
Just sharing my story in hopes to spread some encouragement:

Ordered 2 QB, XL, 128GB on Black Friday. Original ship date was 1/6/2017. Ship date got pushed until 3/10/2017. I called Verizon multiple times on the 6th knowing it was not shipping out and they gave me a credit of $40. The most frustrating part was not knowing how long I would be waiting for a phone. I then blasted them on Twitter mentioning @verizon and @verizonsupport. I also hijacked conversations they were having with potential customers. They became very responsive (looking up account details) but still said there was nothing they can do.

I received an email on 1/10/17 that my phones shipped and I received them on the 12th. I doubt my Twitter Tirade had anything to do with it, but I like to think that it did. Good luck! The phone is well worth the wait.
 
At least some are getting emails, my wife's Silver XL 128 was supposed to ship friday, i heard nothing checked the status and now it say 3/3, I will not watch the play store and if any become available i will just buy it from there and cancel the order. It is silly for this to be happening this way
 
I have been trying to purchase an unlocked Pixel XL w/128GB from the google store and I continue to receive the same information "out of stock" . I could buy this from Amazon, but would pay a much higher price. When will I be able to purchase this from the google store?

I'm in the same boat as you. You can buy it from the gray market, at nearly double retail, then potentially not even have a warranty...F that. I'm waiting...impatiently.

I'm trying to throw nearly a grand at Google and I can't! I wish Google would put out a statement or at least an estimate on when they expect stock.
 
Pixel XL 128gb Very Silver ordered @ local Verizon store on 11/26. Original ship date was 1/6. Received an email on 1/5 that the new shipping date was 3/3. As of yesterday the order no longer shows in my Verizon account. Chatted with Verizon support this morning. Was told the shipment date was 3/3, but no explanation for why it no longer shows in my account. The Verizon rep said he could see it still. Will continue to check nowinstock.com and if it shows up will order it directly from the big "G"...

Got an email today saying I have, yet, another new shipping date. The new date is 1/31. Order still doesn't show in my Verizon account. Comical at this point.

I did get the same message. I know many other people that ordered the xl silver 128gb by black Friday, got it as well.
 
Seems that Google once again is in a business that they clearly don't understand how to operate. Logistics isn't their game especially when it comes to phones.

Purchased at VZW store Black Friday original ship date 1/6 moved to 3/10 , , ,

Received an email yesterday with new ship date of 1/31
 
My VS 128GB XL ordered on 12/09 estimated ship was 1/13 got email it was pushed to 3/10 last week. Got another email yesturday that it will ship 2/14.
Meanwhile I bought a QB XL 32GB from swappa and got it today! Using it on T-Mobile right now.

I was resigned to the fact it would never come, well I was wrong. Ordered my Pixel xl 128 QB on 11/25. Heard Verizon tell me how it was not their fault they could not ship any, its Google's fault. Told them I did not do business with Google, my service is through Verizon. Why promote something you cant deliver. You do the Black Friday special. You allow Best Buy to do a special. You then do a Christmas special even though there would be no way you could deliver on the phones. This was all about getting people money during the holidays when people spend, regardless if they could not deliver. Well, saw that today my credit card was charged and immediately contacted Verizon. No tracking number initially but was told it would ship in 2 days. Got confirmation tonight that I will get it on Friday. Good luck to all of you who have to suffer through this pain with Verizon.

Agreed...bad business to advertise the hell of out something....offer great deals.....knowing you cannot meet the demand

Finally a mainstream (weel sort of) publication is calling Google/Verizon/HTC out for the lack of inventory.

Haven't heard from them again, but the Verizon website now says my order has shipped and has a tracking number! I'll believe it when UPS can actually find the shipment with that tracking number, but I'm hoping that means it just hasn't been picked up from the warehouse yet... QB 128 XL ordered on 11/27.

My situation is similar. 128GB QB XL ordered on 11/26/16. I got the email saying it wouldn't ship till 3/10/17. I didn't get a text or an email with an update but on Verizon I have a tracking number and it says it shipped today. UPS ground. Tracking number isn't showing up in their system yet though.
