Google Play Music app update allows music to be saved to ext SD - or maybe not

So I received the Google Play Music update today as described here: Google Play Music updated with SD card cache support | Android Central
Problem is, I don't seem to have the option to save music to my external SD card as the article claimed. Anyone else with a Razr Maxx (or Razr) able to access this setting? If not I'm guessing it has something to do with the non-standard way our phones name the ext. SD card.

On the app page in Google Play, it says that SD card support is for KitKat, and that it's only available on certain older phones in an experimental fashion. But they don't specify which phones.

FTR, I am running KitKat on my RAZR MAXX and still don't have the option for SD card support in the app. So, don't go rooting and ROMing just for this, because as of yet it doesn't seem to work for us.
