To the people who are complaining about this phone being 650 being overpriced. Look at the price of all flagships.

People have been spoiled by the Nexii prices to date. The N6 is still cheaper than other flagships. The specs this year are also of a higher standard than other years.

After this Nexus 6 announcement, I would hold off. Moto X 2014 or The Turbo would be the only things I would consider.

I'm praying next year, Sony take over the reigns and offers a z4 and a z4 compact Nexus device. (Hopefully, the pricing would be better with two different phones) I just read about the battery life on the z3 and z3 compact, the battery life is amazing. Plus dust and water resistant. The only problem for me is the Sony UI. Make these devices Nexus or Google Play Editions and I'm happy.

That is tough. I was on Sprint for a while and finally jumped off that train. I understand if there are circumstances that keep you there, but my recommendation is to get off sprint. I'm on Tmobile now, coverage is good in my area.

Back to your question, I'm disappointed in the battery life in the Nexus 5. If battery life isn't a big concern for you, Nexus 5 is nice in regards to updates.

Looking at the list of available devices right now. The M8 or the G3 look like good candidates.

all i can say is i hope there is a nexus x and not just a nexus 6. i hope the droid turbo was not the nexus x and something will still come down the line.

Considering that both are nearly the same size (the Nexus is a bit larger overall), I think the iphone 6 plus cutout is a safe gauge. Just imagine it a few millimeters larger than the cutout.

Nexus 6: 6.27 x 3.27 x 0.40 inches (159.26 x 82.98 x 10.06 mm)
iPhone 6 plus: 6.22 x 3.06 x 0.28 inches (158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm)

Lucky, I had a small discount but the LTE performance was bad in my area. Couldn't stay.

I really doubt there will be a Nexus X. The only thing that could come close is a possible Droid Turbo announcement, to all carriers, not just Verizon. If you can wait, I would wait till the end of the month to make a decision.

if i NEEDED a phone - i would get the Nexus 6. but since i already have a Nexus 5 it's hard for me to justify the upgrade. if i was you who NEEDS a phone - i'd get the Nexus 6. my second choice would be a Nexus 5. Nexus 5 futureproofs you a lot better than M8.

I wouldn't count on that. Two years from now would be three years after the N5's original release date -- I think that would be a record. Google should support the N5 for an extended period since it's the only non-phablet that they have at the moment -- but I'm not sure that they will.

I bet they continue to sell them.

Nexus 4 is getting Lollipop so my guess is that Nexus 5 will get Marshmallow.
