Google sign in problems

I recently got a new google account and ny nexus wont let me sign into my new account... HELP PLEASE!!!

What error message are you seeing? Also, can you verify the account works by checking your mail on a computer.

Welcome to Android Central! jerrykur's idea is a good one. Are you absolutely sure you entered the email address correctly? Do you have 2-step authentication activated with Google?
