Huh. So nothing has changed. Thanks for the info.
Preferred care is already two years and there shouldn't be deductable for normal wear and tear.
there was a deductible for accidental damage that, manufacturer defects would be covered without deductible. Now there is no deductible either way for folks that have preferred care.
Sorry for confusion, It looks like there were deductibles for repairs. Damage deductibles did not get removed:Apparently there was a change, Google did remove the deductibles:

So even if I bought my Pixel 2 XL from Verizon I too have the 2 year warranty from Google?
Only for defects....not accidental damage.
So seeing as how my screen has that blackish blotchiness on the top portion of my display (makes the colors darker than the rest of my screen) does that mean I could return this one for another one whenever?
You should still be in the trial period anyway, yes?
this is ridiculous. there was a deductible to have something repaired under warranty?
No it's included with the purchaseDo I have to buy the 1 year warranty to get the second year for free? I bought mine from Verizon
I think the Verizon trial period is 14 days or so. So yeah I should still be in it. Would they allow me to exchange the phone for something like this and have you experienced this on your 2 XL?
