Does anyone have a step by step to set up Google voicemail on the Infuse, I have been trying for two days now and can't seem to get it to work, am I missing a step somewhere or maybe a configuration setting? I have tried this setup from here but when all done I never receive voicemail.

Issues - after setup I'll leave myself a voicemail, I'll receive a notification that I have a VM but when I click on the notification it dials but never retrieves, the VM also never shows up in Google.

Question - on the infuse in settings>>Call setting>>Voicemail>>Voicemail Service there is an option for My Carrier or Google...what should this be set to? If Google when do you set this, before setup or after setup?

Thanks and I apologize if this has already been answered but I was unable to find a post in search.

If you want to use Google voicemail then choose Google. You can choose it at any time. Depends on which service you want to use.

I get the same type of issues. Its a pretty interesting system. Tell me of you find a permanent fix.

Sign into your "overall" Google account and check your Voice settings online (NOT the settings in the Google Voice app on your phone). I was able to tweak things to my liking this way. Not all of the functionality and options are available in the settings in the app... gotta go into your Voice settings online. Hope that helps.

The trick is call forwarding. Either adjust phone settings for forwarding or go online and register your phone number with your voice account. It will send a string of numbers to your phone to enable the call fowarding in one automated step. I did the latter.

From another post on another forum:

For Google Voice to work, you have to go to http://google.com/voice, log in, go to Voice Settings, click on the Phones tab, look for your phone and click on Activate Google voicemail on this phone which will take you through a process to get it up and working.

Indeed. Once you do that, you can install Google Voice on any Android Device without having to do that again. They give you a voicemail number and your phone forwards your calls to that number for your voicemail. Which they will be confronted by a supurb lady saying, "The Google Voice subscriber you are trying to reach is unavailibe" lol. I like it better. This way when Bill collectors leave there Automated Message for me. I have a little Automated message for them to be confronted with :).
