Had it fully charged at 930 this morning took it off and just listening to some podcasts the last 3 hours, they were downloaded and not streamed, I and I had the phone in extreme saver mode. I right now at 1224 I'm at 78%. This on par with other owners?

20% drain for 3 hours of continuous use doesn't sound like a lot to me, but there are a lot of variables. If that is truly more than M8 in the same circumstances, then it doesn't seem right.

How were you listening? Bluetooth, wired or with the 10's speakers? Each would have it's own variance and usage.

Quality of cell signal can be a huge influence on battery usage. How was yours?

My M8 would easily get me 8 hours SOT( screen on time). That won't was amazing. No phone I've ever owned came close to that. Easily two days of use before charge. The 10 gets me through the whole day with 30 percent before putting it to charge for the 🌃.

I did charge my phone Wednesday and Thursday night with the cord that came with the phone but using all USB extender cable cord to reach my nightstand. wondering if that affected my phone at all. As some have said about using 3rd party cords.

Seems alright so far. New phones can take a few days to calibrate a battery anyway.

Yeah, I also came from the M8 and agree with RobDogOne, while I can get both to 2 days without a charge, the M8 took much less use to make it there, the 10 seems to get there each time with normal use for myself. Im averaging around 2 days and 3 hours per full charge right now. Screen time is over 4 hours usually. Nothing too crazy cause I work outside and the phone sits idling most the day. Even under heavy use it can make a day easy. My M8 chewed up the battery if I used it alot.

I came from the M8 as well and there is no way in hell my M8 has better life than my 10.

^This. I had the M8 since launch and while it was a great battery in 2014, it's no where near the 10. I always had to charge the M8 mid-day and again before bed. The 10 gets charged once a day and rarely ever drops below 50% at that.
I just replaced my M8s battery and it's still nothing like the 10.

If your 10 is draining faster, look for a misbehaving app or do a reset. These two seriously aren't even close in battery life and the 10 is a true all-day phone, even without power management.

I have several of these stored away in Google photos... The M8 was by far the best phone for battery life....ever!!! Period.

And another. I could go all day. I was amazed by that phone. If it hadn't broke, I'd still have it today, camera be damned...

Yeah, I have absolutely no complaints with this battery at all. It's 8:30pm and I am still at 40 percent( connected to Bluetooth half the day listening to music, took a bunch of pics of my boys, talked on the phone for 30 or so minutes, lots of texting and a few emails). This phone kills the M9 on battery life for sure. Absolutely love it.

Can't really comment on battery life yet, but my HTC 10 is losing the first 10% of the battery quite quick.

Goes from 100% to 90% in less than 15 min of use, just normal use, browsing, Twitter... This while connected to WiFi. Mobile signal is not great here but yet I'm shocked and wondering if I have a defective unit.

Anyone have experienced the same?

Thanks
