Got 2 battery,charging cradle and sd card from the promo!

Well I can say I got accidentally lucky that they send 2 instead of 1 😀

So what happen was when I got my first unit I did the online form right away, then after 2 days i had to return it and get a replacement bc of overheating issue. Then after I got the replacement I filled out the online form again bc I thought the first submission will be voided since it was a defect. After 1 week of waiting just got the email today and they send me 2 tracking # of the package!!.. ahhh Life is good indeed.

That's not luck that's playing the system and taking advantage of it.

At&t store representative advised me to fill out the form again because they were the ones who told me that my first submission might not go through.

That's fine... But imo, you should have notified the rebate house to cancel the original submission.

Well that's not my job anymore. Its their responsibility to process all the submissions that are coming through not me. Plus I just did what the atnt told me. Plus everybody would've done the same thing if they were in my situation.

I won't speak for others but personally... I have told grocery stores of errors in checkout even when it is in my favor multiple times. I have contacted a company who didn't charge me a $50 fee to remind them of their oversight.

When I did a price match at best buy on my note 2 , they accidentally gave me an additional $60 plus dollars back. And even though the guy was being very rude to me, I told him of his mistake.

I understand what you're saying but its too late now bc usually they will send you an email confirmation that they receive the submission but no I didn't get any. Then they just email me the tracking no. so its too late now. Plus the fact that at&t told me that first one will get rejected hence sending a 2nd submission. So im not taking advantage or anything, and hell i already had problem with the first unit that i got.

Just sharing my opinion, as you are welcome to share yours. Usually in Internet forums like this, people will try to find ways to game the system. In some cases when i think it is an unfair practice by a corporation , I will support it. In other cases when I don't think it is right, then I will say so.

Karma always comes knocking and collects, without fail.

IMO, you contact them. Someone could end up getting into trouble or losing a job if that pops up later in a shortage. If you contact them and they say just keep it, then not a problem.

For me, it is a matter of character and not something I would keep without notifying them and telling them about the mistake. YMMV

I contacted their customer service earlier about the error and they responded after an hour. They were "very" aware of the 2 submissions that I did and they were going to reject the first one, but since the first G4 I got had so many issues they just processed the first one as well as a "compensation".

So I hope everybody is happy now.

Admins can just close this thread since its going no where now... Life is good.

No, everybody wouldn't have.

Sure, I would have resubmitted if instructed to, but I would not have felt "lucky" if that benefited me beyond what is *already* a pretty nice free promotion. I would have taken measures to fix the oversight.

I guess sometimnes "free" isn't even good enough.

Wow nice grab there. I agree with the comments saying keep it. I did that with the Netflix promo for the S6. Now I have 2 years of free Netflix

He was just sharing his opinion. He wasn't trying to be the moral police.

On a side note what is our job is to ensure everything on the forums is in check. Now while everything is fine with the OP and this thread there can be a fine line between an accidental slip up and promoting fraud against a corporation.. And that we do not allow or promote.

Glad to hear that you contacted customer service. So long as you explained the story to them and they let you keep both then no problems.

Sorry for the mis assessment... I based my comment based on what you posted previously, which didn't indicate as such. I take it all back now. You did the right thing contacting them.

Hey you could always give it away to someone. Or send it to an admin for a future contest prize. That's what I would do. But if you need the 2 sets then keep it!
