Got a deal on a New G4, date code 09/2015

A friend of mine was closing his AT&T non corporate store, hr had a private owned AT&T retail store, I picked up a new, unopened G4, just looking for opinions, should I just stick it on ebay or keep it? It seems most all the threads on here are pretty negative about this phone, example... So many "stuck in boot loop" topics, I was going to use this phone as my daily driver and sell my other phones to buy either Nexus 6p or a new Pixel phone when they come out. I bought this from him cash, no real receipt, phone has never been activated so I'm not sure how LG would honor any warranty if at all. Any experienced G4 owner opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you need a new phone, use your new G4. Yes, a larger number than normal have manufacturing defects; but most still run fine.

Thank you for the input, that's what I was hoping, I can't imagine that they all have problems. I had an Optimus G Pro from whenever they first came out, gave it to my daughter, who's pretty careless with phones, about a year ago, and it's still going strong, cracked screen and all.

The 505 G4 I gave to my gf is fine, and my V10 going strong.
