got kit Kat but flash stopped working.

flash seems to be broken for most browser... I am not sure if its a fix from browser developer or from adobe.

if its from adobe then forget about flash

Not an Adobe issue - Google made internal changes which caused the breakage.

If it is indeed broken that's going to be a problem for me. Since Adobe stopped updating Flash long ago, I have to assume it's something in KitKat. Hopefully the app developers can fix their apps to continue being able to use Flash. I don't use Flash sites every single day but it's often enough that losing that functionality would be an issue.

You can check out Puffin Browser. It is server-based and Flash executes out on their servers as opposed to using the on-board apk.

Google most definitely has decided to make life difficult for Flash users, even with sideloading. They've done the same thing with GoogleTV where they've taken away flash with its Jellybean upgrade and made sideloading from a third party browser useless.

The reason this affects me with GoogleTV is all of the U.K websites that stream (BBC iplayer, ITV player, TVcatchup, etc) still use Flash and have stated they aren't updating to html5 anytime soon, plus puffin isn't capable of running these high demand websites, so basically I'm screwed with GoogleTV as Google is putting the thumb screws on websites to upgrade and totally abandon the Flash platform.

Fortunately there's apps on the Nexus 7 to replace the website. Just waiting on the Jellybean upgrade on my Sony GoogleTV to see if I can side load the BBC iplayer apk file to run the app version on GoogleTV. Worth a shot I guess.

Still, taking it away in the way they did when they upgraded to kitkat was pretty sneaky.

I think it would have to be from Adobe. But since Adobe dropped Flash for Android last summer I am not holding my breath.

It doesn't do flash either under 4.4. The update stopped flash from working until a fix comes along. It works perfectly on my lg g pad and Samsung tab 3 8.0.
