GOT ONE 12-11 best buy

I think everybody is just hating on them since they got it early.
No one is gonna get fired. Write up maybe. Think Verizon is gonna say oh hey you can't sell our phones anymore? Especially if best buy is a big electronic company OK.
Their system says 12/11 the only person I think that is at fault is the person who didn't update the date on their system.

But will see what happens but I'm sure they'll be OK.

I don't think people are "hating" just because some people got one early. Clearly I congratulated the two who got one. There will be repercussions just like stores that sell movies/games/etc before they are allowed to. If something is not in the system clearly there is a reason. But I hope nothing happens to the employees and once again congrats to the two who were lucky and got one early.

Its kinda funny, but I thought you would be one of the first after you had an appointment and had them hold you one last Friday. Now you are one of us regular schmucks who have to wait till the "official" release.

I'm not hating on them because they got it early. What I find horrible is the attitude towards people who potentially could lose their jobs for doing this.

I'm sorry if you failed to catch that before.

Feel free to rationalize their system saying 12/11 all you want. The simple fact of the matter is if that were the case, the sku would have brought up the device. They wouldn't have had to use a dummy sku, or as was the case for one person use the sku for the razr.

It would have if Verizon didn't change the date late minute. I'm sure we all know that 12/9 was the day but hey what can you do right.
I don't mind waiting. If it did come out Friday I'm sure you wouldn't be saying all that but hey it didn't so your entitled to that.
It was also confirm by people and got thier appt too so i can't help Verizon doesn't like this phone.
Anyways I hope all the employees would be OK. Hopefully the saying. Customer comes first works out for them

Seeing that I have friends that work for Best Buy, and one of them is a manager. No, they would not get fired unless they intentionally meant to sell something before the purchase date. Mistakes happen all the time, people will not get fired over it. Verizon might get angry at Best Buy, but they will not get angry at the employees, but the same could be said about Verizon. If Verizon didn't want these to get out, they should never of sent them out with a not so sure date. If anything this is Verizons fault, not the employees. Best Buy isn't dumb, they wouldn't fire someone over this.

Son of a b*tch. I went to my local bby in attempt to acquire a gnex. The girl was elated to sell me a phone. Went to grab the phone from her pullout drawer underneath the demo units, my heart is now about to jump out of my chest, and then her manager sees her and stops her. He informs her that it isn't for sale yet. She said that she thought it came out on the ninth and he proceeds to tell her and me that the phone is on hold by vzw and can't be sold yet. I asked for a date and he said to check back at the end of the week... c*ck blocked to the fullest...

i walked into a best buy and asked to buy a phone.

ps: i called the best buy 6 hours later and they said "yes we are selling them"
