Perfection is a difficult thing to ask with so many variables. Your location, cloud cover, available satellites, moving or stationary, and on and on.
I will say this, on my S10+, there just weeks and days before I switched to the S20+ I was having this one issue where starting a navigation on my way to work it acted like it was searching for signal/my location. It would show the navigation then zoom out like it didn't know where it was, a second later it would zoom in on course then out then in and a short distance later it would be locked in and wouldn't do it again. I was starting navigation in about the same place, just before entering the highway, while I was moving and this happened a lot those last couple of weeks. Not sure if it was due to an update, interference in that area or what but it never left me totally lost. I didn't notice it other times when I would use navigation on that device. So was it the device the location or what?
As for the S20+ I now use, it doesn't seem to this, even in that location. To date I cannot report one incident of issues with navigation. Does that mean there won't be a bug in the next update or that it is perfect, no. It works and hasn't failed me yet. Didn't really fail me on the S10 just did that one weird thing for a minute then all was well.
