[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Where can one find TWRP? Interested in it but i cannot locate a DL for it

One of the better ways to download this is to use the Goo Manager app from the play store and then from the menu icon, select Install OpenRecoveryScript. That will get you the latest and greatest version of TWRP and automatically install it for you.

Not worth it, IMO.. BAMF is meh lol. Saw some tweets implying CM10 and hence aokp will have it in the next day or so probably :)

Well you flash what you like and I will flash what I like. Obviously I thought it was worth it to flash this.

Yeah Jelly Belly is disappointing me badly. I got the wifi boot loop. Did a full wipe and reinstall and now if someone sends me a text message and I reply right away it tells me the message sent but the other person never actually gets it.

I think I'm going to go to AOKP or CM10. Was trying to hold out until a full release but the issues with JBelly are getting on my nerves. What are the pros and cons and features of either? Last time I ran a CM Rom was on my Evo 4G.

Re: [GUIDE][7/24] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

So, can I attribute the fact that on every JB ROM, my phone sits for a long time on the "Google" boot up screen to the fact that I haven't flashed the JB bootloader? If so, is it "safe" to flash that yet? Or would it be "safer" to wait until the Verizon GNex actually gets the JB OTA, so it can be taken from the "official" update package?

Also, still looking for the old (stock) GNex boot animation. I downloaded an older Bugless Beast ROM on my computer, pulled the bootanimation.zip file from there and put it on my phone, but it wasn't the animation I was looking for (the BB one is just the word "Android" flashing back and forth).

Go ahead and flash the bootloader, most of us did weeks ago to no ill effect, lol, and you can always flash back if you need. It should reduce boot times and the likelihood of hangups, even mine still seems to get stuck once in a while but it's very rare now.

Also what ROM are you running?

Re: [GUIDE][7/24] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

I flashed it this morning. It runs as smooth as Euroskank, if not more so.

I did read on a different site that it includes the SDM.apk which they said is a battery drainer. I am not sure if its the cause or not but I am at 60% after an hour on battery. I just renamed it to sdm.bak and will see if that makes a difference. If I still get crappy battery life I will go back to Euroskank.

Does anyone have any info on this apk?

Still liking cm10 unofficial? Headed back to Euroskank, but tempted by this.

Euroskank, right now. Also, where can I find the JB bootloader to flash? Do I have to do a full wipe before flashing it, or can I just flash it after just a cache/ dalvik wipe? After flashing it, do I have to reflash the ROM and GAPPs?
