Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Battery life on stock linaro kernel on jellybelly 2.2 has been excellent for me.

I think it's because the deep sleep issues and the dev hammering most of them (but not all) out.

Know how to do a screenshot? Used to Gummy on ICS by holding power button down and selecting screenshot.

Same way as before on regular ICS (and most roms, although I never used Gummy)--hold down volume down + power at the same time.

Power + Volume Down should do the trick. ;)

No worries. It works the same on every other rom as well. Didn't actually know there was another way lol.

The screenshot option was added to the power menu on a lot of rom's. I never realized a use for it since the volume down + power worked on every screen you happened to be on.

Clear its cache. I used it yesterday and it was fine. You're talking about Play Music, right? Are you in an area with decent signal?

I haven't had any issues with slow boot ups, so I don't see a need for the new bootloader.

Same. It's not going to resolve how JB saves data or anything like that, so what does it do or what affect does it really have?

I asked the dev, so hopefully I'll find out soon.

Yeah this is what I keep saying... Yes I'll flash ROM updates that are bigfix updates even if mine is bug free... but when we're talking bootloaders, and ones that are not yet approved for our phones, follow the "if it aint broke, don't fix it" philosophy. No need to risk anything :)

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

So far I have two issues with 2.3... And I think I'm going to revert back.

1. WiFi is not connecting to any routers.
2. SU is not updating binaries. Comes up as failed.
