[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

i go out for a few hrs and jellybelly is up to 2.4 what happened to 2.3

Fixed these issues:
Changelog
v2.4 (md5: 3a532b5cdb8ebc19d956a1bb62336a02)
fixed issues from 2.3 (namely wifi and root)
fixed a few binaries that were slowing things down
noticed a bug with the app memory limit and fixed it

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Flashing now, thanks :).

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

I got it all flashed so fare no problems

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

if i am on 2.2 can i go to franco by using his app? or are those not for jb?

How far are we going to go with a ported ROM... I mean each upgrade is so marginal, and it seems we are hitting diminishing returns quite quickly - there have been more issues than benefits it seems.

Major kudos to the devs but I think it just makes more sense to wait for the impending source drop

At this point, I think it's pretty much finished.

Also, if you decide to do what I did and flash the JB bootloader, don't for the love of all that is holy use it for an ICS rom. It works fine with JB--perhaps better, although that remains to be seen. It is untested and highly unrecommended for ICS though.

not touching a leaked GSM JB bootloader with a 10ft pole so far!!!

quite happy on JB1.9 with stock kernel. nice and smooth, no frills, and everything appears to be working and in tip-top shape... was making my iphone loving coworker drool over G-Now today haha

well, if the source doesnt drop soon, blame dm.... im just repeating his guess that due to the litigation with apple, google will be releasing a fix, which will possibly mean release of JB into the fold. :-P

dm, i saw you were an attorney.... android love aside, what's your take on this frivolity apple is engaging in. whats next, a patent on the placement of the microphone in the bottom portion of the phone?

Also, if you decide to do what I did and flash the JB bootloader,..

What exactly does this do? I have reservations on doing this, but if I'm missing out on something that is really beneficial to the JB experience, then maybe I'll give it a try.

Do you flash like a ROM/kernel? or is there no wipe needed?

Thanks

Note to self:
Make sure to delete all ics nandroids after flashing jb bootloader. Doing a panic ics restore will eff you up.

Typed with my thumbs on Tapatalk2 ;)

I just flashed JB Bootloader for the hell of it, so far so good. 2.4 was worth the flash, first impressions. (I forgot who mentioned it but MY GOD, just wiping the SYSTEM instead of FACTORY....T H A N K Y O U!!!!!)

I flashed the bootloader before everything. Here was my order...wipes...bootloader...rom...gapps...trinity.

Bootloader = http://www.androidcentral.com/what-is-android-bootloader

Right now, devs are saying it's a bit more stable than the ICS one for JB roms. The long booting issue has seemingly gone away. True? Placebo? Who knows. Works for me. I keep a spare ICS/IMM76K one in there just in case.
