[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Just flashed that 216 linaro myself.. My phone just always loves francos :) Running great, very smooth.

Hope spidey is good, zero. I hated the prior 3 with a passion, and wanted to like them badly :/ heard this new one doesn't improve much which is disappointing if true, I had high hopes for it lol.

The first one was aight, next two were awful. See how this one stacks up. Spidey was always my favorite superhero.

No, flashing a rom cannot. Did you take it back to stock? Those are the 4.0.2 radios. Find the new ones in zero's thread.

No I didn't. I went from cm9. I am 99% certain I already flashed these.. Anyway...

So I flashed the newer ones, no changes in reception or hand off. I think I'm being throttled...
. 25 mb down, 1MB up...

The dialog is infinitely better with this new film. Its better for sure! Be sure to stay after the credits. :).

Remember this is a relaunch of the series with a new trilogy .

Anyone have music pause frequently with that Franco linaro?

Edit: apparently it happens regardless of kernel. Weird.

I'm feeling like the battery is fantastic (or, at least, relatively so) with the Trinity kernel I'm on right now.

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

I have successfully rooted my Verizon Nexus version 4.04 build IMM76K using Gnex Toolkit v1.7. I Wiped, factory reset, wipe cache and then dalvich and tried to flash two different ROM’s one is "Vicious-TORO-JellyBean-V3-signed" and the other is "Team Liquid Vicious-Toro V3-JellyBean Fully 100% Functional Deodex". On both it seemed to install fine, no error messages. Then at reboot it booted past the Google logo to the ROM logo and never passed it. I waited for a minimum of 20 minutes until I pulled the Battery and flashed back to stock. Please help.

What recovery do you use? Clockworkmod? I suggest wiping everything again, formatting system, and trying a different port.

You have to try out this linaro Franco build 216. Battery life is awesome and it doesn't get hot!!!

I thought it was sick. Best movie I saw this year. Avengers is second best. There I said it :)

I'm using CWM v5.8.0.2 and I've tried three times! Wiping, and formating. How do I use a Different port? I'm doing this using Gnex Toolkit v1.7

You're flashing it via that toolkit? Have you tried manually, via recovery?

Find another port/rom. Jelly Belly is the current crowd favorite.

I boot into CWR and format, wipe caches and then connect to PC and copy over ROM to phone disconnect USB and install from SD via CWR.

Ok I haven't flashed a JB rom since v2 (because its been working no problems) but everyone keeps talking about Jelly Belly. What are the hiccups in the latest rome. Do I flash the Gapps and rom at the same time? What Kernal does the latest rom come with?

Franco updated his updater to version 5.7 which now includes JB Kernels. Latest 217, however, folks have reported that settings are not sticking and fast USB charging is not working.

I tried it; music kept pausing. Dunno if it's kernel related or what, but I'm back on trinity lol.

You need to wipe data as well. Wipe every single thing.

Yes, flash rom first then gapps second.

It comes with stock linaro.

I had the same issues at first and thought it was the ROM. So I reinstalled the ROM then the Franco kernel again. Problem solved :)

Question regarding this please. Have been running Vicious Jelly Bean since the get go with 3.0.31 -franco.Kernel-384GPU and have been absolutely loving it! Performance and usage has been lightning fast and flawless. I am today reading this amazing post (thank you very much for all the oustanding feedback BTW) and wish to try to update. I am now pondering the difference between 384mhz or 512mhz GPU which I am being prompted with a choice to download. Which should I choose and why? Greatly appreciate your advise, thank you in advance!
