also what is Awesome beats? some sort of add on?

Awesome beats is a mod for audio. Similar to DSP manager which comes baked into Jelly Belly.

So recovery and backup are still borked? On 3.3 now and still can't choose a backup account

I'd say Jelly Belly, but Bugless Beast and Kejar's build are catching up.

Also, the OP is getting updated today regardless if I like it or not .

Nope. The big difference is yours (2.5) is the port and mine (3.3) is AOSP lol.

Dmmarck would flashing the JB boot loader make a big difference when running 3.3

Honestly, I have no idea. I flashed it a few days ago (this past weekend) and haven't looked back. If you need/want to go back to ICS, however, I suggest waiting or holding off.

After running jelly belly I don't see me going back to ICS but you never know. As always thanks for the awesome advice

Hm, finally. Might take the plunge since AOKP is probably a few weeks or more out from a JB build.
