[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

fixes from 3.1 to 3.2 is what I gather.

Booloader can be flashed just as you flash your ROM...wipe everything - flash Bootloader, flash rom, flash gapps - prosper

What if I'm fine with the Rom I'm on I just want the boot loader do I still need to WIPE?

I think cache and dalvik need wiped. I honestly an not sure so you may want to wait or scour through the pages of this thread as there was some talk about the bootloader and how to install

eh, I just flashed boot loader, 3.2 and Gapps all dirty. I'll see how screwed up my phone is when it loads.

Re: [GUIDE][7/6] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Just flashed 3.2...so far, so good :).

TBH.. you're going to be in a dilemma if you wait for 3.3, when 3.4 will be out and so forth. Update and you'll be fine. Thanks to Jakeday and Jelly Belly, I have now have a crackflashing problem :P.

I'm in the same boat... third install in two days and would have done more if not for work...

Ok, so I've been out of things for the past few days. Now that we have AOSP roms dropping, are any of them stable enough for daily drivers? I also want to make sure that everything (or as close to everything as possible) is working correctly before I try to flash.

Man, it's hard to keep up with the ROM updates lately. LOLz :D

But can't complain since it squashes the bugs almost everyday too.

I've used vicious, jelly belly, and BB. I would say they're all stable for a daily driver. Currently rocking BB

Ok so I just did boot loader, now to wipe, and wipe and wipe than reformat to flash JB 3.2 and gapps. hope it goes smoothly. : )

Edit- so gapps did not download my apps, is this my issue with flashing or is a gapps file problem?

So I'm still on v2 vicious and everything is pretty gravy so far should I just wait until one of the devs like aokp comes out with a ROM or do these new source Roms have features worth getting

I'm kinda in the same boat...trying to resist scratching the itch to flash until AOKP drops. There are some mods out there to go along with these current ROMS, like clock and battery mods...but most, if not all of the ROMS, from what I can tell, are pretty stock, just optimized for a bit more speed, fluidity, etc. etc.

Yea I never thought I would stay on this ROM once the source came out but I haven't seen any new Roms worth flashing so far. And yea I saw the mods as well but its not really enough for me to start all over again

That's the case for all of the AOSP-based roms, unfortunately.

I wanna flash so bad it hurts! But a co-worker wants me to root/ROM her GSII tomorrow at work, so I'm gonna get it out of my system that way! But the gnex is made for flashing, so I say go for it. I am just feeling lazy and sitting on Jelly Belly 2.something or other...no issues, no complaints, smooth as all get out. I don't feel like rebuilding everything, at least not tonight. But I keep reading the threads to see what's what so when I'm ready, I'm ready.

Wish I could remember all the apps I had, lol.
Since I used Nova to back up my screens, will it work with what ever apps I remember to download?

so far the 3.2 is working and I checked my nav and it locked so I guess so far so good.

I am always a wreck when I do this, I can not wait to see the blue bar shoeing progress when I flash the rom.

Is there a way to make the text larger when in recovery?

Thanks!

Xanth

Make the recovery text larger? I don't think so.

For your apps, go to the Play Store and check out My Apps. I usually just go down the line lol.
