[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

coming from stock aosp, these extra options are a bit overwhelming at first.

first question... under Inteface>System, do the settings not stick or take effect? for example, i want to change battery status style to percentage, but when i choose it, it doesnt change from the default

Edit: saw the post on RW about the compile time vs commit time for these changes

panic restore from nandroid.... turns out that AppExtracter cant read from the new CWM backups, so i have to restore, then back up with SMS backup, and try cw10 again...

btw, kejar 7/15 doesnt have autorestore??? (since i cant restore my apks now)

Wanted to sneak this in, just an fyi, it may have been already mentioned but light flow was updated for jelly bean today. Been waiting for this update since I use the led so much. Hopefully it will work properly now.

hahaha!! Thanks. In lieu of all the excitement, I installed all my apps without Unlocking the Bootloader. I was quite sad when I realized I had to reinstall all the apps again because google play store doesn't restore.

Is there a Mod to put like toggles in the notification bar ala GS3?

Haven't seen one. The top roms will have em real soon. You can dl an app like widgetsoid but I think they are a band aid fix. I like em baked in the rom.

Side note: Just installed jellybro...its got the most tweaks of all the roms so far. No toggles yet though.

Today I was flashing Jelly Belly 3.6 and when I went to reboot a message came up saying "flash may cause you to go back to stock recover. This cannot be undone. Fix?" Anyone else get this? I went ahead with the reboot anyway but it was weird. I am waiting for the ROM to settle now before I go in

I did a DF of 3.6 and latest Gapps last night, no issues on my end.

I chose yes for the fix... its saying that a ROM can overwrite recovery to stock, which we wouldn't want, so it writes cwr As permanent. You could always fastboot stock.

Where was this? What prompted it?

Also, looks like the next build of CM10 will have a BUNCH of new features. Can't wait.

I got this message after the first time I did a nandroid on the updated CWM. I hit yes too, thinking the same logic as NYC above.

Any idea when this is due out? Been thinking of flashing CM10 this morning, but if the update is due out later today then I will just wait...

Do it anyway, you're just a dirty flash away from an update!

If I had to wager, this afternoon. They seem to post up around 4-6pm.

Sounds like a new CM10 is coming tonight with a lot more features. I'll probably wait for that and try it. Looked on Rootzwiki and unless I overlooked it I didn't see any mention of Gapps, but I assume you need to flash them? Anything else that needs to be flashed with that ROM?
