[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Always depends.. Even a nightly can change just enough that dirty gives you problems. All depends on what exactly changes in the system.

edit: pulled batt, re-wiped and re-flashed. worked this time. i can see what all the fuss was about CM10.... digging it so far.

CM10 is in good manager. It looks like build 18 is in there ready to goo.

Edit: oops, that would be cm9 I guess...

I typically run fix permissions after I've installed everything (under advanced in CWM), which can also help prevent some app issues.

Fix permissions shouldn't have to be run, since like early gingerbread days really. I know I've seen a JB ROM or 2 say to do it but honestly that makes me lose faith in the dev if they are asking for it, and I'd rather not see people get in the habit of thinking they need to do that.

Quick question guys would it be better to start using TWRP for backups due to the issues being reported with the updated version of CWM

No disrespect to Koush, but I think that TWRP is just a better recovery regardless.

Flashing in 2 mins once done, will report back.

Status bar appears to work, let's hope the power widget does too. But I need me proper battery stuff, so alas :).

In the build, just update the binary post-flashing.

Status bar stuff works, but if you choose to use the 7/17 GAPPs package from goo-inside.me, you'll need to reinstall Gmail and Maps. But only one gallery, thank God. lol

Yes to the first, no idea to the second.

For the first, it's compliant with new Google licensing and stuff.

Hey guys... a little off topic, but I was wondering if you can point me in the right direction, if there is a "Right Direction". I just picked up a Asus Infinity T700 and it comese with ICS 4.0.3. My question is... BEFORE I install my apps and get things the way I like it... Is it possible to Root and/or Hack a tablet....? and if so, are the developers designing Jelly Bean for Tabs yet....?

Again, sorry about the off topic question.. thanks for any direction you can provide...

Another nice jb mod. Asst lockring mods. The guy has a ton of different ones. Even though aokp not here yet, I'm getting ready.
