[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

I don't have any notifications that I can try it on, although I don't think I played it with it at all before. Good catch though!

Take a screenshot - shouldn't it have the option to expand/close within the notification bar for a preview?

Don't see one now that I did that. Interesting.

Not a dealbreaker for me, but interesting lol.

looks like i was able to expand the screenshot saved notification, but not email... weird. but yeah, not a dealbreaker.

so whats the story with deep sleep? ive ignored all of the posts since JB leaked about the phone not entering deep sleep, thinking DS was 350mhz.... but when i just checked cpuspy, it showed me 14hrs uptime, 12.5hrs @ 350mhz, and Deep Sleep as an unused state. i had it on charger through the night, but havent used my phone much this morning, so i expected some deep sleep

I've been getting it on every build. If your charger is connected as a USB/connected to a computer, you won't get it.

Open up Maps, let it lock, then close it. Reset the timers in CPUSpy. Any deep sleep?

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

On Jelly Belly, I've had no issues with deep sleep. It's not in the 80's like I had using franco on ICS, but I'm consistently in 60-70's. Perhaps I liken it to my use of Google Now from the lock screen more often to check weather/traffic, and since I have GPS on at all times.

Actually, I'm quite pleased with JB battery life when all things are considered. Battery drain is about on par, if only slightly worse, than ICS - but agian, I NEVER had GPS toggled on, and now it's toggled 100% of the time

I would like to know this as well. I've had this downloaded since the weekend, but afraid to flash it.

I just put this on via Goo Download Manager. You can get it in the playstore and then press flash rom it will prompt you to install and flash it, which it will do automatically for you. Worked like a charm and I must say TWRP is so much better than CMR. I df'd the new CM10 in half the time I normally would have.

Which rom is this with the built in toggles? If it's an ad on mod will it work with any Jellybean rom?

CM10 has them built in.

Nice. I'll give that a flash when I am not feeling lazy in setting up everything again. Is CM10 more stable the jelly belly in its current form?

Well, no disrespect to Jake, but none of the "bugs" being addressed by the Jelly Belly update(s) were ever present in CM10, at least from what I can tell.

Sorry didn't read fully,

Edit:Try going into the menu and Install OpenRecoveryScript. It will download and install. It won't look like anything has happened, but it will be installed. Just reboot into recovery (the manual way is how i did it) and it should come up with TWRP. it just downloads and installs the .img file

Also if you use file manager check the goomanager you should see the openrecovery-twrp-2.2.0.img file sitting in there.
