[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

was LTE toggle fixededed

Unless I'm doing it wrong, no.

Same case as davey btw, but considering the (considerable) overlap between CM and AOKP, I'm ok with that :).

Also, would there be any interest if I started compiling CM? I may, but only on a "weekly," not nightly, basis.

Can't get swiftkey working on jellybro. Was fine on bb. Did the usual clear cache data, uninstall, reinstall. Not working. Sigh.

If it's force closing when you try to enable it then go into settings and go to language/input. Check the swiftkey box and click settings. You'll be able to enable it in there. I had the same problem. Someone else told me to do this as well and it worked like a charm.

Working for me? I've heard of this but honestly have no idea why it wouldn't install.

I'm using SwiftKey now on jellybro. I read others were having trouble with the setup. I think the fix was going into settings, language & input, and completing the SwiftKey setup through there instead of the app.

Swiftkey checks to see if the user has moderator status on android central and will install trouble free. Since I have no mod status, it just gave me problems.

Getting ready to flash CWM6 (Touch, I guess...), and the Euroskank CM10 ROM. Just waiting for my computer to finish downloading the ROM... It's taking forever. Plus I still have to download the newest GAPPs, too. x_x

Just noticed the customizable lockscreen targets. NICE
On jellybro that is.

Suggest not doing the latest cwm. There are issues particularly with nandroid restores. (for me anyway) Do twrp for your recovery.

to clarify: CWM6 uses a new way of creating the archive. from what i gather, after you create the initial backup, all subsequent backups become faster, as it only backs up what changed.

restoring nandroid thru CWM6 should not have any issues. the issue is restoring from nandroid with a tool such as TiBu. i think tibu can read from these new nandroids. i ran into the issue with a different tool - appextractor, which couldnt read the new format.

Issues probably would arise with doing a restore with the 6005 cwm with a backup created with an earlier version for the reasons you stated.
I had boot loops when restoring with 6005 with a backup made with 6005. Twice.

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Hm. Well, I'll skip CWM6 for now, then. It sounds nicer, but if people are having issues with it, I'll hold off.

ah, i see. i havent tried that yet. only had to restore once in recent flashing adventures, and that was using CWM6 to restore a pre-CWM6 nandroid.
