[GUIDE][8/1] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

Well... the good news is that it is indeed romans AOKP. Bad news, not much in ROM control. Truly alpha.

Thanks for taking one for the team Sega!

Thanks.

That's what I love about the Galaxy Nexus. I can eff it up software wise, but with one button, all can be good. Couldn't do that with my old bionic and Razr.

Anyone else having issues customizing the lock screen on CM10? Every time I add a shortcut or change wall paper nothing happens.

You can get cwm6 thru rom manager. I would recommend getting touch, it's sooooooo much better! Get the file from clockworkmod.com and fast boot Flash it if you don't want to pay $2 for it thru rom manager

Hm. Well, I don't really know how to "fast boot flash" stuff, only how to actually flash from recovery on the phone itself. Over on XDA, they did post a flashable zip (as in, the kind you can flash on the phone's recovery), but after I downloaded it and looked at it, I realized it was the touch version, and that they didn't post a flashable zip for the non-touch version. So, I wasn't sure if I should go ahead with Touch, or not, or if it causes any issues.

Anyway, currently downloading the Euroskank build. I don't believe it includes GAPPS, so which of those should I download? Seems like a few different recent packages are out there... For what it's worth, I don't want it to autodownload my apps from the app store; I'd rather just restore them all via Titanium Backup, myself.

Make sure you are pressing save. I missed that the first time I did it. Other than that not sure what to tell you...

fastbooting is easy, if i can do it, anyone can :) its just two command lines - 1 to reboot into bootloader, the other to flash recovery

you can use the 7/17-signed gapps from goo.im (will need to download GMail and Maps) or kejar's 7/15 gapps (i believe these are still from the GSM leak, so they contain the ability to expand notifications)

Hey DMM are you using the blackout popups and such Davey posted a few days back on the new CM10? I can't get them to bootup when i install them for some reason...

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

I haven't used them yet, waiting for today's build then I can try it.

Did you use ZipThemer?

Re: [GUIDE][7/12] Jelly Bean Now! Resources & Discussion

hm... tired them on an older version of cm10 a few days ago, but haven't had any success with the newest... guess they are compatible.

Fast booting took me three days to figure out and not that hard to use actually, once you figure out which commands to use. (My Buddy bricked his DINC two weeks ago and if I had a clue on this fast boot stuff it would've saved me HOURS unbricking it) Since I'm still on Jelly Belly I can vouch for his gaaps, he seems to always have the latest gaaps.
ps: CM10 Kernel ROCKS!!!

Damn...the urge to flash CM10. Gah. Might be my afternoon project since I'll need to set everything up again.

Has anyone tried an app restore using mybackup on JB? I'd love to do it (no data) for the sake of time.
