it still had 3.5 gigs left on it. No, I got to that part, where it said error 7 installation aborted and then tried the root exploit and that's what popped up on optiauto. I'm now just on rooted zvd, gonna restore my backup of quattrimus. that way it'll be easier to get to zvj if we can ever figure out how to root it for me.

As far as I can remember the install update.zip fail was part of the root exploit...

I'm tempted to go to zvd and run through the process again. Btw... Are you reverting using lgnpst every time cause there's an easier way back to zvd

I mean after clicking install update.zip on my phone and getting that error, you're supposed to type C in the optiauto-that's supposed to get you to root/custum recovery, etc.
Since I'm now on the ZVD radio on a backup of quattrimus from when I was on ZV9, should mms work??

Yes. It did for me from zvj too. The mms is a rom issue S roms just weren't made for us V users... We've come this far though I'm sure it'll get worked out.

Hmm. Couldnt get it to work on quattrimus,but youre right,it is a rom thing. I went to harmonia backup and mms worked!

its by far my favorite daily romand it was optimus v quattrimus. It was a backup.
Try a clean install? I know it works on iho for me

Make any progress with optiauto yet andrew? I just reverted to zvd to reroot and update to rooted zvj again and it all went smooth including having optiauto root zvd for me

Haven't had time I might try tonight. I'm going to wipe my sdcard and hope that works. I'll also do the zip of optiauto instead of the self extractor.

Every now and then I read through this thread, to educate myself 
I've yet to take the plunge myself, due to most of my patches being for Optimus V ZV"D", I test em a lot whenever I try changing/adding things to em.
