I couldn't get zv5 on after zvd either. I can't remember how I got back now haha. Oh yeahhhh! I used the old unbrick using the optimus s firmware forum to get back to zv5! there's a way to do that. but now that thread's gone.... :/ hopefully it isn't gone off AF.

Try kp500 to change to zv5, if that doesn't work, I think I need to add SCR file.

that's what I did. but I know for a fact that you can do it without the scr file. I went back to it and then zv9 and back to my quattrimus backup after flashing the S firmware.

Flash zv9 then downgrade to zv5

You could also post the zv5 bin to do it from e-mode. I extracted my zv4 bin and it worked. Then used my nvs file from the zvj thread to restore everything how it should be

Using the bins while in e-mode erases everything including meid, so I don't want people to use it unless they have an nvs file. The bin also unbricks and restores phone completely, unlike kp500 and kdz, it's the strangest thing that kdz and kp500 wont, hmmmm.

I know... Maybe include it somewhere in the zvj thread as a way back... Anyone using that guide should have the nvs file tucked away safely

I think the problem is that if you brick while on optimus s firmware, you must use optimus s firmware to unbrick and same vice versa.

I've used emode to go from zvj to ov zv4 before tho.. Worked flawlessly other then the expected zeroed nv items

hey SAMMYZ i read your post on how to unbrick the optimus v but i cant make it work no matter what i do. the phone only has access to the emergency mode option. i got stuck like that because i wanted to return to stock and somehow wound up like that any help would be apreciated. thanks.

Ok, so if you pull battery, and turn it on, it says software download mode.
Does it say emergency mode in red text on the bottom?

Don't do it in a virtual box. Should work in win7. Tell me where you get stuck in win7.

That can happen many, many times. You have to keep unplugging and pulling battery, reinstalling battery, plugging in again until it works.

yea i have tried it many times but it doesnt work with me it gets stuck at 4% when it says model.dll.......
