Amazing how so many are SO positive that what THEY heard is the be-all, end-all, definitive answer, even in the face of dozens of different and conflicting answers, huh?



As others have already pointed out in this thread many times, the operative word in that phrase is EXPECTED ship date. Note they didn't say PROMISED ship date, or GUARANTEED ship date, they said EXPECTED ship date.

Based on the morning's forecast, I don't EXPECT it to rain here today, but its sure not GUARANTEED!

I can read. The point is this date is not a made up, figment of the imagination. It came from the mothership. AND it matches T-Mobile and Sprint dates. If I tell someone I EXPECT to be able to meet them someplace, its NOT guaranteed either. But if I can't make it, I GUARANTEE I will have the respect and courtesy to tell them so.

I always get a kick from those complaining about people complaining. Good stuff.

Not complaining at all! Chuckling, yes - complaining, no... Like I say, its a lot like my kids, "Daddy, are we there yet?" "No, we're only 15 minutes closer than the last time you asked. We'll be there when we get there."

I will say this you guys, if it shows up in stores before it shows up at my door? i will be furious to the point where i think i might just cancel my ATT plan. I'm kind of getting tired of the lack of communication and mysteries when devices release.

I think the sheer VOLUME of ATT employees all giving different answers?? is just SHOCKING that a company of this size and magnitude would not all be following some sort of MISSION plan... it's like chickens with their heads cut off. it's shocking.

Read the sprint threads people are starting to get tracking numbers so that's a good thing I'm buying mine in store but once preorders ship I know it won't be much longer

I couldn't agree more with this gentleman. I work for a high volume direct sales company that has shifted from a product oriented company to a customer service oriented company. AT&T is a customer oriented company that has to follow through and have CONSISTENT communications through its channels to the customers.

If we make promises that we can't keep, than we are going to lose customer. I completely understand people's frustrations when it comes to this. I myself pre-ordered a SGIII on the 9th and am very dissatisfied with the lack of communication between client and company.

I have NEVER seen a company this large be so out of sorts when it comes to communication. This is a management issue that clearly needs to be addressed.

also i ordered mine on the 18th. and this is what i am being told about the ship date on the order confirmation email.

Premier still maintains that if you ordered on June 6th through June 18th at 3PM, your device will be there on or before the 21st. You'd think if there was going to be any delays on this they would have heard about it by now. Hopefully some of us start getting shipment emails in the next few hours.

So what I'm guessing, Jason, is that when you ordered on the 18th, your order won't ship until later (the 28th). Anyone that pre-ordered before that should be receiving their device tomorrow. With that being the case, they would have to start shipping today to get here tomorrow. Let's hope that's the case.

i preordered on the 16th and mine says it will ship on or before june 21st but my shipping status still shows the same as yours

AT&T probably got something like half a million pre-orders nation-wide. It's possible that the shipping dept is working so hard to ship the phones, they have decided to not bother updating ship status. Just all hands on deck, get the phones out as fast as possible, do the paperwork when things settle down. Just a possibility, I have no idea if it's true.

All of my local stores (2 of which are ATT stores) have all confirmed they will not start selling the phone til the 28th. As long as I get the phone before its available in stores I will not be too upset. Now that all the stores are giving me the same date and answer I feel confident its true.

Yes, you are right. I am sure I am annoying some people myself.

Surprised you didn't point out I as complaining about people complaining about people complaining.

If it doesn't ship today, it will ship tomorrow. Or after tomorrow.

I just got an E-Mail from AT&T....

....advertising the HTC Vivid

This is the first time I've pre-ordered an AT&T phone, although I do remember there was some confusion when the Captivate launched. People were getting different answers when they went into stores on the launch date, and if it was available to buy there were different prices.

Samsung was still posting on Twitter as of this morning that it will be in stores on the 21st, so maybe there will be some info revealed tonight at their event.
