I just called at&t, they said they should be in line for the 21st and not expecting any delays they should ship right to the store that I ordered from.

HaHa. They obviously have no clue. I chatted with a csr this evening (just for fun at this point) and was told they have none in stock because they "sold out". They would send me an email when more comes in and they ship to me because "inventory varies from day to day".

Honestly, at this point, if I worked at Att, I would be making stuff up too!!
I would be telling people we have some in stock, but the GUY in the warehouse called in sick. Will be sending them out, as soon as he comes back to work.

Not sure it means anything for preorders. Just like Sprint told Wirefly to wait, taking care of their own customers first.
Hope that's what is going on anyway.

if you have read this thread at all you would see everyone who preorderd has this as there title for there equipment at the moment.

its normal for a phone that hasnt offically launched yet.

The only one I've seen confirmed for the 21st is the sprint version. At my work (radioshack) we still have preorders going through the 24th. Just wondering where you seen that date?

Amazing how so many are SO positive that what THEY heard is the be-all, end-all, definitive answer, even in the face of dozens of different and conflicting answers, huh?

As others have already pointed out in this thread many times, the operative word in that phrase is EXPECTED ship date. Note they didn't say PROMISED ship date, or GUARANTEED ship date, they said EXPECTED ship date.

Based on the morning's forecast, I don't EXPECT it to rain here today, but its sure not GUARANTEED!

I'm actually feeling pretty optimistic. Both Sprint and T-mobile are seeing some for of delays (Sprint with the 32GB models, Tmobile delayed outside of the 29 biggest markets), but according to press releases, will still be ready with phones on the 21st (though Sprint noted they may be a day or two behind). Seeing as how both Sprint and AT&T have gotten review models out, why would AT&T be any different?

If some people are seeing the 28th, that may just be for new orders, or for the later preorders, since clearly no carrier is prepared to fulfill ALL the orders they've received. But I'm still optimistic that those of us who preordered on day could have our phones by the end of the week.

I'm done being optimisitic. While all of us went into this pre-order thing knowing there wasn't a hard date involved, there's obviously something going on.

Now for everyone saying "it's a marketing game!" I'm sure it could be, but more likely that will just be an excuse to cover up someone's mistake. While I *should* have my new phone "on or around" tomorrow.... the reality is it will come whenever they un-screw whatever they've screwed up.
