Hardware Versions: 0002 or 0003? Also, HTC called me back about the screen issue..

Hardware Version? (I'm going to add 0001 and 0004 just in case)

Also, side by side, the color on the 0002 looks washed out. The grey is really grey, while the 0003 in comparison has a blueish tint to the grey, which is more appealing. White on the 0002 has a yellowish tint, and it's white as it should be on 0003, kind of like the warm and cool color settings on a plasma.

They are both fresh factory reset and I've tried them both with the different brightness settings.

0002 from opening day with no lifting and no light leakage, wifi seems fine. I haven't noticed the grounding issue therefore i'm not going to look for it.

I have never put a screen protector or case on this phone.

0002 version small light leakage, problem with screen, very weak wifi signal while on the same room. contacted HTC waiting for response will let everybody know what they say.

0002 ..No light leakage but I do have the issue with the top portion of the screen being unresponsive if I have it on a couch etc

Hopefully someone will hear something official from HTC soon - as many of the reports suggest.

003 version and minor light leakage at bottom of screen thats only visible in the Dark. I don't tend to notice since the screen protector covers it.

Just exchanged my 002 today for a 003. The 002 was getting a pretty major light leak, but the 003 seems just fine. Even in the dark, nada.

I'm pretty sure this is just screen variance and nothing to do with the Evo itself, per se.

So have you all just been taking your evo back to the store to get them exchanged? I may have to do this as I have the 002 verison and have the screen and the light leakage that I just saw last night in the dark.

0002, minor light leakage, had to remove the case to notice, horrible wifi signal, I haven't noticed screen response issues thought. I have had to restart the unit recently but that is to be expected with heavy usage.

i have the 0003 version and some light leakage from the bottom and poor wifi signal

I have an 0002. No light leakage that I can see, glass is nice and flush. Wifi reception is OK. I have noticed an occasional grounding issue, but it goes away if the phone is plugged in (which it usually is if I have it in the car dock).

Only oddity I've noticed is that the voice search doesn't seem to hear anything if I have the headset plugged in. I can yell all I want -- nothing. As soon as I unplug the headset it picks up my voice perfectly and searches normally. My headset works fine for calls, music, etc. It's a little annoying, but not a dealbreaker. Anyone else notice this?

0003 here.

No screen separation issues. No touchscreen issues. Wifi is weak though.

The only light leakage I have is when I look "down" the front of the phone. There's a small amount of light between the screen and the buttons. But not noticeable unless you're trying to find it.

i have version #2. light leakage and unresponsive upper half of screen when not held in hand. fortunately no screen seperation(crossing fingers))

I already posted my Hardware Version (0002) but I wanted to share some pics I took of this issue. I'm a Park Ranger and I used our night vision game camera. Pics are blurry because it works off of motion and is more for distance. You can see the light leakage at the bottom.
