Hello. It's my first time asking a question here, so bear with me and, please, don't call me a noob.

So yesterday, I was watching The Expendables just fine on my Huawei Y330 (I know it's old - only 512 MB ram, with Android 4.2.2 - and extremely unpopular, but it's mine), the sound was normal, no weird noises whatsoever. Then I used my headphones to play CS GO on PC, again working just fine. Put them on the desk, went to bed etc....

Today, I wake up, do my stuff, and then try to watch another movie or listen to some music...but my Y330 won't even recognise the Headphones anymore. Thinking it got something to do with my phone, tested them with my dad's Lenovo A1000 (it always had some problems with my headphones...they would work with my phone, but not with my dad's, but since it worked fine on my computer, I thought it to be normal) and they also weren't recognised....Once I tested them on my PC, they, however worked, again listing to some music and playing CS GO...so what do you think it's causing this? I tried to restard my phone, didn't work...No firmware updates for my phone...so what can I try?

PS: My headphones are Genius HS-M430....what's a headphone and what's a headset?

Welcome to Android Central! When you plug the headphones into the phone jack, do you feel or hear them click into place? Sometimes it can be hard to know if the plug is in all the way.

Also, use a can of compressed air to blow out the headphone jack, or root around with a damp toothpick, to make sure it's clear of debris.

For me, "headphones" means just the speakers, while "headset" includes a microphone.
