My 2 cents for this thread !!
My Vivid has the same problem; I was very worry about, so I checked inside and see nothing, all shinny and clean.
I grab some 96 grade alcohol and a toothpick, I cleaned inside and try to wiggle all around; after that done wet the tip of my well cleaned earphones, connect and disconnect; blow well and VOILA !!
all is working fine again ! Thanks you guys rock !!
GOD BLESS YOU. WETTING TIP WORKED. Headphone not recognised solved. Earphones not recognised solved. I licked the 3.5 mm pin / tip of my earphones or say i ran my toungue over the pin and inserted and removed the pin 3 times suddenly and it worked.
If anybody has the same issue that is Headphone not recognised or Earphones not recognized then do try these 2 things:
1. Check if there is any lint in that 3.5 mm hole. Earlier my pin in went like 75% and the other 25% of pin was not getting in. I checked the hole under torch, there was a lint ball.
2. Try above wetting tip method.
Thanks
