Heating up

My HTC one heats up very much when I play games especially, it reaches degrees up to 40 C and it becomes hard to grab.
Is this supposed to happen or do I have to replace my UNIT?
BTW I already love android coming from a BB Os device, I now know why everybody has already switched to it. Thanks for the help in advance.

Use the search feature at the top of the page. There are many post on this subject. It is normal for it to heat up but search for other post for a better answer.
