Having the same issue, here is a screen shot. It's a floating bubble, can't find the app causing it. Thanks for any help. Ignore that I'm on POF.

I found a solution, might not work for all cases, it did for mine though. My case was that, a window would open and subsequently it would be redirected to the Play Store featuring some game, whenever i unlock my phone. When i opened up Recent Apps, it wouldn't show a name as opposed to other normal apps. After searching numerous apps for a solution, i found this app called 'Perfect Uninstaller', it helps you search all the detectable add-ons and apps, from there i found a add-on/app being nameless, which is obviously the source of my annoying pop-ups. I deleted it and everything went back to normal.

Man this actually worked, thank you so much man

Hi,

I'm getting these ads by Google on my home screen. Even when I don't have any app opened. There is no item related to the as in the notification bar.

Are these default android ads or have I installed some app which is doing this.

Can someone please help me?

Did you get a response?

I had the same issue and I discovered that the following apps were running: proxy.apk, "hopihop".apk and cleaner.apk. Check if your phone has the same apps running by going to Settings and Selecting Apps. Clear the cache and app storage use before uninstalling the apps. This should suffice.

The Z Camera app on my android was causing my phone to go haywire with ads on my my home screen and even while i was on other apps. I deleted that Z camera app, and all ads are gone. Solved my problem completely.

Got suspicious about pesky apps and accidently bricked my Moto Droid/Razr-Maxx HD (browser wouldn't work). I decided to bite the bullet and did a 'Hard Reset' to restore the factory settings and start from scratch.

So, when ads immediately showed up on the new home screen it seemed pretty certain it had to be one or all of the various Google apps I'd just installed. After wasting a few days 'Googling' on how to stop the ad-activity by working with the settings on the Moto and all of the apps, I finally disabled everything 'Google.'

The solution was syncing my computer running Microsoft Windows 10 with other devices and downloading Office 365 to my mobile. Part of the process enabled me to select their Edge browser and launching capabilities.

No more ads-- feel duped having used 'Google' to search the web for a solution to a problem when they when they were cause of the problem. Needless to say, even after years of 'Googling' like a champion it's all 'Bing' for me now because, I no longer trust Google...

And, old as my mobile is, it runs like new and problem-free! :)

Ads on home screen

View attachment 102069

Here is the screenshot.
They show up at the home screen at random. Sometimes while browsing, sometimes while playing a game, sometimes just on the home screen.
I still havent figured out a pattern.

They never show up in the notification bar. So I can't figure out which app is causing this.

Hi, I had something similar issue, I had ads on lock screen and sometimes they would pop up while gaming. My most recent app that i downloaded was Google step Tracker and after uninstalling it, they disappeared. Try uninstalling your most recent apps and check. It should work.

Welcome to Android Central! Although you probably don't need the Accessibility Suite, that wouldn't be the cause of ads.

Welcome to Android Central! It would help if you could post some screenshots, or describe these ads in more detail. Are they appearing in the Notification Bar at the top of the screen? Are they pop up windows? Do they occur when you're browsing the web using Chrome or another browser?

If they're in the Notifications, swipe down the shade and long-press the ad. Then tap App Info when it appears. That should tell you what app is responsible for the notification.

When I turn phone on and am expecting to swipe particles, to unlock screen, one of my shopping apps is covering my screen saver on my home screen.

Welcome to Android Central! Some app you installed came with adware. Uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.

The app name is File downloader. I had the same problem. It will not show in recently used in app store. When your ads show up. Dont close it. Choose the multi window display button that is the 3 lines button on the bottom of your screen. Then take a look at the symbol of the ad on top that is the apps symbol. Goto setting>apps and uninstall the corresponding app. Use the symbol for reference
