AC Question

My phone recently stopped working and when I use a certain combination of keys to boot it into recovery mode there is the little android symbol with a warning sign above it with "No Command" written beneath it. A friend told me I seem to have wiped the recovery hardware without knowing and I was wondering if there is any way to reinstall the proper software or, alternatively, is there any way to remove all my pictures and music and contacts from my phone's internal memory? I asK this because a lot of stuff didn't save to my SD Card.

I was able to hard factory reset my blu life 8 by Removing the battery the after reinserting it I held down the volume up and power button at the same time once the Blu logo screen shows release the power key but keep holding the volume up key until menu appears and finally I didn't get the no command screen this time I received the reset options but they were in Chinese then I had to Google that so for the factory reset you scroll down using the volume down key to the one that says EMMC that's your reset then push the power button 1 time within a cpl Mins your phone is reset aND ready to go

This happened to my droid last night. I had installed the latest system update about 18 hours before the incident. Thanks to this forum I was able to fix it after experimenting for about 2 hours. A couple of tips: in addition to unplugging from a charger, make sure your extra battery moto mod is detached! I also used the pop up menu to wipe the cache several times in addition to restarting the phone several times. I just didn't want to deal with factory resetting my phone at midnight! On around the sixth go-round my phone came back to life and seems to be working fine.

When you get 'no command' screen press multiple times on power button+volume up with 1 second gap or faster , or power button +vol down, with the same tactics.Should work.

Just signed up so I could say thankyou for this thread, and the answers it provided.

I was certain I had bricked my phone (not sure how) when it went into a boot lop and the recommended access to recovery mode was not working.

Phone is back to its best now, having accessed the appropriate recovery tools using the info I got here.

Thanks again. :D

Hi!I have a samsung galaxy j5 2016 and i have this problem.

When i try to turn it on i get a samsung galaxy j5 logo and after that a samsung logo should apper but it doesnt and it just stays there.I tried the hard reset by holding down the power key volume up key and home button and it worked so i picked reboot system now from the menu and same thing happened. This is most of the luck I've had with it till now, trying a battery from other j5 didnt work too and charging it to 100% then turning it on did the same thing.

Hope to hear soon from you!

Is there any objection to putting the phone into the hands of a repairer?

What phone?

Welcome.

When you see that screen, the phone is waiting for you to give a command. To do so, press and hold Power, and at the same time press Volume Up once. Release both buttons after the boot options appear. Use Volume Up or Down - it doesn't matter which - to highlight the option you want. Depending on what you're trying to do, Reboot or Wipe Cache Partition would be good choices. I recommend the latter....it can fix a number of problems and will cause no loss of personal data. Once you've selected, press Power once to confirm. Note that some phones take ten minutes or so to do a Cache Partition wipe.

Thanks your post really helped me out, I'm wiping the cache of my Hotwav V17 hoping it will allow me to use the full 16 GB storage.
