Help: HTC One M8 w/Scullcandy Earphones suddenly not working

Hello all,

Have been using scullcandy earphones with my M8 for some time now, but all of a sudden it has stopped working and is not getting detected on my phone. The earphones are getting detected on other phones and devices but not in mine, also, other earphones are getting detected on my M8.
I had recently gotten a firmware update to my phone which listed GPS enhancement changes and other bug fixes. I am wondering if that was the reason it has stopped working. Please help as this is driving me crazy, what with a new phone and all.

Welcome to the forums.
This is strange. I half expected other headphones to work but the Skull Candy ones to not in anything. Does the jack on the headphones seem worn out or something?

I have this this problem also.. My HTC one M8's earphone is not detecting my phone. It detect another phone and another phone also detect my phone.
