Help Me Convince My Mother to Get a Nexus 10 Instead of an Ipad

You believe that? Do you not see how biased it is?

Media bias against a cell phone manufacturer! WSJ is manipulating Apple's share price! It's a conspiracy!

Step 1: go to wsj.com

Step 2: type AAPL into the box in the top right corner

Step 3: click on the 6 month chart

Step 4: realize you're wrong

Step 5: wait for the burn of pwnage to pass

Step 6: come on here and have another iSpaz!

I have no "burn" marks because that website is so biased against Apple they have indeed been trying to manipulate Apple's stock. Ok I'm gonna stop replying now for good since all this is now is trolling by you.

No! Don't go! If you leave, the hilarity of this thread will be compromised.

Lol your post made me smile. Tell your mum i admire her so much - 75 and shes buying a tablet. My mum has difficulty with a normal phone and all she does is press the reply button :-). But as most people pointed out now that she is used to an iphone it will be so much esier for her to use an ipad than an android tablet. I hate Apple products but I am biased towards Android.

But your son would love the iPhone. I am not talking about your post specifically but I've seen plenty of people wanting to force upon family members that want an iOS device but getting them an android phone instead, to you guys I ask why?

The key here is for me to accept my parental responsibility and teach my child not to follow others choices blindly[even mine]. He should evaluate the platforms, then after choosing one select a device. It is telling that after playing with his grandmothers iPad and his Father's Nexus 10 he wanted a N7 not an iPad mini.

As for ?forcing? one persons forcing is another's educating. As I have stated before, the choice should be made by the device purchaser, but if they expect ME to support[from a technical/problem solving aspect] it they need know in advance which platform I will do that for. I think Linux is awesome, but I don't have the experience with it so I would not suggest it to my parents, who would still depend on me for support.

Jusy being honest... Get them the ipad.... Ive never owned an iphone or pad.... But android tabs aren't for everyone... They don't compare imo.... Phones is a different story.... But pads for an older family member... Go ipad..

If you want a nexus 10 buy one. Your mum wants an ipad and an ipad is clearly better suited to her since she had an iPhone so is used to ios.

Don't confuse things, don't complicate things unnecessarily and don't be a selfish little swear word. You aren't 6 so stop acting like a spoiled Brat.

I love Android and would never buy an ios device for myself but you have to face facts, ios is better for some people than Android... and if they already subscribe to the Apple ecosystem than they should probably stay in it.

This is the very reason why I have an android device. Past devices have been horribly laggy!!!

Which is why I said if android is perfect why did they have to add project butter to it? Now the nexus 4 I have is just as smooth as my iPhone 5 and I am very very impressed on how long android has come.

Sorry, I didn't know you asked me a question.

With both Sam's Club and Costco, I always told them that I wanted to have a look around to see merchandise and check pricing and decide if I wanted to invest into a membership with them. Always got free access to look around. Some memberships may even have a 30 day refund policy on the membership (wink, wink).
