Ahhh, I was about to go to sleep last night and turned my phone off. This morning I turn it on to a different (and icky) lock screen.

I now have a padlock in a circle at the bottom of my screen, which I must swipe to an open padlock to get to the part where I draw my pattern to unlock.

I didn't choose it I don't like it!!

I much preferred my olf lock screen where my little padlock as nestled in between the four icons I choose and I swiped up to unlock.

How do I get back the harmony on my beautiful, but misbehaving, HTC One?!

You should be able to go to Settings, then Security, and locate the "screen lock" settings, and choose none, or whatever fits your needs.

On the AC app press the camera button (if you're using the same AC app I'm using) and choose the place where you want to upload the pics or screenshots from, then, choose the screenshot and upload to this forum, submit, and voila!:cool:

I have tried the settings option, and it hasn't changed my situation at all :'(

I also don't have a camera icon when typing here :(

Can anyone help me?!?
It's double frustrating as when the screen is locked I can't skip a track whole listening to music on the go.

Did you restart your phone? Have you simulated a battery pull? Also try changing your lock screen to something else to see if it works. Then change it back.

I have both restarted and turned my phone completely off for half an hour.

I have changed my start screen (during my initial scramble to get it back to normal) when it didn't make a difference I changed it back. So no joy there :( thanks for your reply though!

Even with 'none' selected, when I press the button to turn the screen off and subsequently back on I am faced with this imposter of a padlock screen.

Perhaps I used to wrong terminology when describing which screen I want rid of. It's the screen that first is displayed when you awake the screen (button on the external top right). Thanks for your reply,

Anyone else?

I have updated my android and still had the same screen when I restarted.

What's wierd is I successfully changed the wallpaper but the uninvited lock screen didn't keep up with the change. It's still got the same wallpaper I had when the issue first arose.

I really wish I could post the screen shots. Is there anyone at android I contact via email to sort this out. I'm worried I could be jacked or something!!

Don't change your wallpaper. Change your lock screen. There's like four of them to choose from.

Yep, tried that before I cried out for help on this forum.

I tried each one of them, and in all honesty I DO see my selected lock screen for a split second then this weird one comes right up in front of it. I unlock and am then taken to where I last locked my phone. I never see my selected lock screen again after that quick.glimpse.

I had the same problem... It's caused by an app called "your mirror" check and see if it's loaded on your phone, and if so, shut the app down

I checked and I don't have that ap. I DoD delete a lot of other apps I don't think I need but that didn't help either.

Thank you for your hopeful advice, I got all excited there for a second!!

Check if you have installed any apps that modify lockscreens. Check if you have installed any apps from unknown developers within an hour before this happened. And please, we need screenshots to see what you see. Some people reported that 4.3 sometimes changes their lockscreen into the Google edition lockscreen. Do you have the GE lockscreen?

GOT IT! Whew! I really hated the appearance of that second lock screen, too.

(go to the bottom for the fix - I want to step through it first for everyone else)

Here's a pic of the new lock screen:

One screen to the left, you see:

One screen to the right, you see:

Two screens to the right, you see:

If you keep going right, you eventually get a blank page. But not before going through several ads like this.

Go one page to the left, to the "add widget" screen. There's a hidden menu in the left border - swipe right from the left edge of the screen to pull it into view. Almost hidden at the bottom of this menu you'll see the top of a "settings" cog icon (sorry - I deleted the pic of this menu because it was blurry, then couldn't get that lock screen back for another pic because I turned it off and couldn't find an "on" option anywhere). Click on this and you should see this:

Just turn off "Enable Lock Screen."

Looks like the lock screen was installed as part of a flashlight widget. I tried (and uninstalled) several before settling on Flashlight Widget by YourApps. So this is the culprit, unless one of the others left something behind when it was uninstalled.
