AC Question

As of this morning my Note II suddenly started rebooting constantly while the wifi was connected or 4G connected. The only thing that stops the reboot cycle is to turn off wifi and data, and then it's fine (although obviously has no connection other than network).

I've tried taking the battery out for a few minutes, starting in safe mode (still has the issue), clearing the cache partition in the recovery menu, nothing has worked so far. It lasts about 20 seconds max with data/wifi connected before it reboots again. Short of a factory reset, I don't know what else to try!

This is a GT-N7105 running android 4.4.2

I found this post looking for any help about this problem with the WiFi, I tried every one method you guys said here, no one work to me, even tried to install the firmware again, without success, but this morning I give a last try, I installed the first firmware version of my device and it works!

Hi, welcome to AC !

Glad you were able to get it going .

I too am having this problem. It didn't start until I either delete files to make space or moved something from the pone storage to the sd card. When this happens the next time it loads I can't turn on the internet so I have to restart the phone then I can turn it on but it restarts itself again. During this, twice the phone has optimized apps but it still continued to restart. I have installed the firmware. I haven't uninstalled instagram and I can't uninstall Amazon (ver. 5.9.0.200). I also uninstalled the google play store updates. Please. I really need some answers.

Since you've already done a factory reset, and it sounds like you also tried reinstalling the firmware, then it's most likely a hardware problem. If it's still under warranty, contact Alcatel. Otherwise, you'd have to bring it to a repair shop, or look for a new phone. Make sure all of your important data is backed up, in case the phone is close to failing completely.
