Can I ask why you are looking to put a different ROM on it?

I looked over the XDA thread. The biggest thing that doesn't help is they don't list what Custom recovery they are using.

In all honesty, the whole process is sketchy to me for several reasons:

First, there is a mandatory file (OrangeFox R11.0) to have. No explanation for what it does, or why you need it.

Second, they instruct to use a repartitioning script. Unless you read all the code, there is no telling what the script will also do.

Third, suggesting a rooting tool. At least it's optional, but another tool that is changing your device that isn't disclosed what it does.

Lastly, the ROM is a fork of Lineage. In my own paranoia, I never got a fork of the official ROM. I'm sure people can still modify the original source well, but that never was enough for me to give an unofficial a try.

Now, I will be fair.....I haven't kept up with rooting for over a decade. The last device I rooted was the 2013 MotoX. The last phone I put a ROM on was the Galaxy S3. So, my knowledge is out of date. But I couldn't confirm that the ROM is for your phone. And if it isn't, flashing that ROM will be a mistake. One that turns your device into a paperweight.

Oh well, at least I managed to succesfully root my phone. As for the reson of doing it, just cuasually getting into this world :) and it would be good if this thing had something better to do other than getting stuck with Android Pie.

There's nothing wrong with playing around. If you really want to dive into this, see if you can find a dirt cheap Galaxy or Pixel. And I mean like cheap...cracked glass, whatever, as long as it stays powered on for a while. That way you will have loads more support on threads on XDA for rooting and flashing ROMs. The biggest downfall in this case was a lower end Samsung that just didn't have a good ROM following.

It sounds like you need is a recovery other than stock like using TWRP to load that ROM through zip , usually they get download through download mode with Odin but this is an older version I don't remember to well back in that time.
